Freeman was Fosse's inside-left for a brief stint between 1892-93, playing ten games in the Midland League, four times in the FA Cup and scoring seven goals along the way.
He started at Grantham Rovers, his hometown club and actually made the first team there as young as 13 years of age, playing alongside his older brother who was captain.
He did relatively well for Fosse before injury took its toll and he swiftly made a return to Rovers, the club where it all began for him. Moves to Gainsborough Trinity and Granthan Avenue followed as he spent much of his time in Lincolnshire.
