The powerful defender arrived at the Walkers Stadium in 2007 with spells at a vast array of big European clubs to his name. The Frenchman came with a wealth of experience, having played for Lyon, Paris St Germain, Milan and Marseilles before arriving in England. He signed for Bolton on-loan before his switch permanent and then moved on to Birmingham City.

City's then-Chairman Milan Mandaric revealed to the club's fans that it was him, and not manager Martin Allen, that had signed N'Gotty. Still, the experienced French defender was a constant starter for the Foxes in his first season although his presence wasn't enough to stop the club suffering relegation that campaign. He played his 500th competitive game when he played for City in the M69 derby against Coventry City, which Leicester won 2-0.

But following the club's relegation, he didn't get a look-in in League One under new boss Nigel Pearson and was loaned out to Hereford United. His loan stint was cut short through injury and he returned to Leicester, but he was released at the end of his contract the following summer.
