Player Profile

The tall centre-half started his career with hometown club West Leigh before moving up the league ladder with Wigan Borough, Atherton Colliery, Chorley and getting his big move to Second Division Nottingham Forest.

He was a regular with Forest at the heart of their defence and was even included in an FA select team that played in South Africa. His form prompted City, then in the First Division, to secure his services, but he found the going a bit tougher in top-flight football.

He did manage to feature over 30 times in all competitions but was involved in Leicester's infamous 8-2 thrashing against Grimsby midway through his time at the club, and after that he found first-team opportunities hard to come by.

Harrison was transfer listed and signed for Dundalk and then Drumcondra before getting a last chance in English football with Wigan Athletic. He finished his career in some style, being player-manager of Swiss club Lugano in the first season of the country's National League.
