The Seaham-born defender arrived at City on a two-month loan deal from Tottenham Hotspur with the aim of getting his career firmly back on-track after sitting out a year with a broken leg.
Starting his career at Crystal Palace, he remained in London with QPR and then Spurs. His Foxes loan deal started in October 1990 and he made his debut in the same month at home against Ipswich Town.
As well as making the move for personal reasons, Fenwick was also brought in to try and save Leicester's Second Division season - and manager David Pleat's job.
He partnered either Steve Walsh or Tony James at the back and played nine games before being recalled by Spurs with the job of seemingly getting some fitness levels back done. Ironically, and unfortunately, Fenwick broke his ankle just weeks after his return to White Hart Lane and was jailed for motoring offences on his return to fitness.
He went on to play for Swindon Town in the famous Robins side that played in the Premier League but couldn't avoid relegation. A move into management came at Portsmouth, as player-manager following the departure of Jim Smith. He was also a coach at Crystal Palace before enjoying roles as a technical director in Trinidad and as manager of Northampton Town.
