Player Profile

Fitzpatrick made just a sole appearance for the Foxes as a substitute, at the start of his career, in the final game of the 1989-90 season against Sheffield United at Filbert Street.

He scored 15 goals for the youth team during the same season so it seemed a good time to blood the youngster. He played on the same pitch as his cousin David Kelly in a match that was a promotion party for the Blades.

The next season he played for the Central League side but he was soon released after Leicester narrowly escaped relegation to Division Three. He went on to play for Rugby but, despite some decent performances, interest from Football League clubs failed to turn into a solid offer.

He had a playing spell in Sweden, with IFK Rannberg, before going on to play for Hednesford Town, Telford United and Nuneaton Borough. He combined his part-time career with a job as a PE teacher.
