Player Profile

The left-back is another player who made just one appearance for Fosse. He was recommended by Leicester-born Dundalk boss Steve Wright after impressing with the Irish club but found his time at the club limited to appearances in the reserves.

His only Football League appearance came in February 1935, with injuries in defensive positions mounting up for Leicester but a 6-3 defeat didn't help his cause of getting more first-team action. His time in the reserves brought him four County Cup winners medals. He moved on to Bristol City and Hull City but his fortunes of first-team action didn't improve their.

The breakout of war finally hampered any ambitions of getting regular first-team action at a Football League club and he went on to train as a masseur and hospital nurse, returning to Leicester after the war.
