  • Player profile

Davies was a goalkeeper who became City's second-oldest debutant at the time at the age of 35 years and 182 days, second only to Chris Duffy.

Born in Middlesbrough, the stopper played for his hometown club before arriving at Filbert Street following a three-year stint at Cardiff City. He excelled with the Bluebirds, helping them to promotion and an impressive FA Cup semi-final appearance.

He arrived at Leicester a year after and was stand-in for George Hebden for three unbeaten matches. They were to be his only outings for the club, however, as Hebden won his place back and Davies went on to play for Bradford Park Avenue. They were also to be his last in senior football, with Bradford failing to give him a first-team outing.
