  1. I was looking at some of the players we’d been linked to over the past view years last night. Alarmingly, some of these big money transfers have been flops!! So we’ve potentially dodged a bullet. Ben Gibson - Defender Championship, playing 3,300 minutes this season. Hasnt pulled up any trees and would have been a waste of money at £30m. Stats don’t stack up against Maguire that well. Although he does make s lot of clearances. Johnny Evans - Defender Premiership, playing 2159 minutes this season. Involved in a relegation battle and hasn’t looked all that specta

  2. Every time he gets the ball and makes a pass, he's immediately on his bike and fvcking off into space somewhere else to try and force the issue. Every single time. Watch him next time he plays, I hope Puel doesn't coach this out of him. Got high hopes for him

  5. I'm not trying to be contrary, the lads made 15 league starts. I think he's made a lot of mistakes like everyone else does, I would just like to give a 21 year old more time to learn than 15 games. I think saying he's shit is harsh, I think he's got some natural ability, a good engine, can go past players. His decision making is what's letting him down, you can learn from that over time if you're given it. We're probably going to be mid table for a couple of years, I think it's the time to give promising youngsters some time to grow.

  6. Looking at this lad, if Bournemouth offer us £25m again for Gray in the summer then we've got to snap their hands off - I honestly believe we've found a much better player here.

  9. I think he looks a great prospect. Against Chelsea he made a difference with his movement, willingness to make runs, his composure and his ability. Frankly he's shown up Gray a little bit of late as he's having the impact you'd expect Gray to make more often.

  12. Apart from Bournemouth, we've got the fewest wins in the top 10, and we're tied with Burnley for most draws as well. I suppose it's fine, and obviously things could be a lot worse, but I find Puel such an uninspiring figure and I genuinely enjoy watching our club less than I did.

  13. Ridiculous that this has been our shopping list for about three or four windows now and we keep buying strikers. I'd add left back as well tbh.

  15. I think Puel is trying to do something more than just winning games, he's trying to make us a more desirable club to play for.

  16. Looks to have more idea on how to play than Gray who has a few seasons under his belt at this level

  17. Girlfriend dumped me 2 months ago, booked myself a trip to the North East of the USA then into Canada, it's only a 3 week solo trip as I work but it's something I always wanted to do. Could be the maddest thing I've ever done and I have no idea what it'll be like but there's no harm in finding out.

  21. Chilwell is shit mate tbh. If he didn't get so much stick on here that it triggers your contrary nature, you'd admit you agree as well. He hasn't improved one iota since he made his debut. He has the odd game where the opposition are shit and he runs rampant down the flanks, especially later on, he's a terrific athlete. But he's a bollocks Premier league footballer and he's not going to be a good one any time soon. Maybe he's a late bloomer, maybe he gets back here further down the line with more experience. But he's not good enough to be our starting left

  24. I was joking. I'm very happy with Puel at the helm and hope he is backed in the summer to get in the players necessary to implement his style effectively.

  25. Explain your reasons why? His brand of football may not be extremely attractive on the eye, but he's dragged Leicester from a potential relegation battle, and into the top half. Southampton supporters also called for Puel to be sacked, until their wish was granted, and look where they are now.

  26. Is this serious? Wow, the bloke has dragged Leicester away from a potential relegation battle, brought stability and continuity and done a great job. Southampton supporters practically forced Puel out of the club due to his supposedly negative but effective tactics, despite an 8th place finish and reaching the EFL Cup final, and look where they are now!

  28. Don't let the buggers grind you down @RumbleFox and @Gerbold.....I'm slowly getting the hang of this forum - sometimes just not bothering is the best option, as i discovered the other night with someone who simply had no willingness to think or read, who therefore got utterly triggered by absolutely nothing.

  30. To any who says a stronger backup to Kasper that would actually threaten his position, I don’t think such exists. Either you buy someone to replace him or not. Anyone good enough to threaten his position wouldn’t come unless likely to replace.

  31. Eh, in this context the west are pretty clearly good guys given, y'know, they're not calling for ethno-religious genocide and murdering anyone who doesn't fulfil their ideals but rather promoting a multicultural society with a wide and open range of ideals and beliefs. Fair enough.

  32. Off to Japan tomorrow; absolutely buzzing. 10 days in Tokyo, 2 in Kyoto, 1 in Hiroshima and 1 in Osaka. Looking forward to getting away from the UK and immersing myself in a totally different culture for a couple of weeks - really need to reset my brain atm; no news, no brexit, no worries. Just beer, sushi, karaoke and exploring somewhere I've wanted to visit for years. I'm already absolutely gutted to be coming home and I've not even left yet. Might just stay tbh.

  37. Very impressed. Always looking to make things happen. Loves one touch, fast football. More end product than other players in that position. Appears to have a footballing brain. Personally think he looks a more complete player than Gray already.
