  3. We tried getting him when Pearson was in charge and have been in for him pretty much every window since. He wanted the move last yr & It was pretty much a done deal but West Brom bumped the price up a ridiculous amount at the last minute after the interest from City & Arsenal & the deal died. To finally sign him for only £3.5m in today’s market is an unbelievable bit of business from us especially when u consider his pedigree & proven quality. Great signing!! .....Remember when we signed Matt Mills for £5.5m in 2011?!?!?

  12. Done a good deed today. came out of work and an old lady was lying on the floor. stopped the car and went over to her. She was really shaken,I went through a few bits about did you bang your head,do you hurt anywhere etc she used to be a nurse apparently. picked her handbag up and keys and asked if she had any family or friends I could call. The poor lady said no,and all her friends had died. she refused to let me call a doctor ( where she had just been) and said she just wanted to be home. she asked me if I would help her up,but I told her if she hurts to te

  15. Ok so we are early in the transfer window and the feeling is generally we have made 2 great additions. Our chairman thinks obviously the two above are doing an excellent job. I think so also and our owners are too business savvy to think otherwise or they would be paid off. The truth is they and Rudkin in particular get the double end of a shitty stick. Yes we fans say great signing and when said signing don’t work we blame him , yet we are not sure he sourced the signing only got the deal done. i personally think it’s all a bit tiring and we could have the D.O.F or whatever you ca

  20. Didn't a lot of posters here go on a tear when we lost Steve Walsh to Everton and blamed Rudin? Most said it was Walsh who was the star in the football dept in recognizing talent. well how did Walsh work out in everton? The role of DOF has got to be the most undervalued and poorly respected role at a club. Every fan thinks they could do the job and is judged with disdain. He seems to be a competent person in the role and the real people who matter those paying the bills, the owners must think he is very good at his job, so really that is all that matters. arguing a

  37. Massive over reaction about his performances for me, before his injury he wasn't doing a lot particularly wrong, he made some mistakes when he came back. But he and Maguire were left without a ball winner in front of them leaving them exposed for quite a few games. He's always been iffy when asked to step out and cover that space in front of the back four. He was hardly to blame for games like Spurs either where everyone else was dropping huge clangers. I don't want him starting, but he's absolutely fine to have around in the squad for next season.

  45. Puel strikes me as quite intelligent and circumspect - doesn't always get conveyed because of his mediocre English, but I don't doubt that he lives, breathes, and dreams about the sport. If you remember back to the interview scuttlebutt, he blew them away with the depth of knowledge he had on our club, and I think he has probably forgotten more about it than most here know. I love the types of players we're being linked with - Evans aside (too good a deal to pass up) they're all young, hungry and technical. Will they all pan out? Who knows, but he's got a vision that at personal r
