  3. Literally no other club in this league would spend £25m on a defender and not even have him on the bench or make even a sub appearance in a dog muck cup, it's staggering.

  6. Have we not reached point with that clown puel,we are seeing no improvement just same defensive issues the defence is soft as butter,no quality or depth up front no plan B just plays same old pointless passing around in non dangerous areas giving teams a goal start, not picking new players that are bought in,seem to win couple of games that papers over the cracks, then back same dross I'm not expecting them to win the league but at least be competitive i mean Bournemouth are 5th st present surly there squad no better than ours please please please let's get rid of this clown,I'm sure i will

  7. I remember a Forest fan at work said to me after the Title win that it wouldn't last,my reply was that I couldn't care less if we never won again I've seen us do something in my lifetime that I never dreamed possible.

  8. Good topic for discussion this one! I was going to post something about this in the Tactics thread, but this thread is more relevant. Our current formation is definitely guilty of all of the things the thread title implies. Players in positions that aren't their natural positions and literally a system of playing that is unbalanced. We literally have one true raiding full back in Chilwell who has to do double the work as the player in front of him in Maddison drifts infield when we have the ball. Rather than praise or criticise the system I think it's impor

  9. Go 3-4-2, stick Maguire up front, bring on Albrighton in a back 3 to ping balls up to slabhead to knock down for Vardy to get onto in a Phillips/Quinn esque manner. We win 3-2, fans and media alike call for Nalis to be made permanent manager.

  10. It's the 2nd time we've lost at home, the first against a very good Liverpool team. How is it throwing points away? Why should Puel sub our captain of 270+ appearances off after a booking, Wes has enough experience to know to avoid fouling. Some of you really do blame Puel for players mistakes

  11. Did Puel make Vardy miss a sitter? Or make an experienced player get sent off? You can argue all day about subbing players on a yellow, but you can't go doing that every time a player gets a yellow. Sitting there with the benefit of hind sight it's very easy to point out mistakes. 11 v 11 and I fancied us to win it as we were on top at that point.

  12. Half of which were long range punts that didn't trouble Schmeichel at all. Number of shots is irrelevant when compared to quality of chances and theirs were poor - an average of 0.075 xG/chance, skewed upwards by the first goal, which was their only genuinely good chance. Ours was 0.1375 xG/chance - so even though we had half as many shots, on average each one was a much better chance than Everton had. If you want an extreme example of why "more shots" doesn't mean much: Betis - 22 shots, all poor with a sub 4% probability of any one ending in a goal. Levante 6 sho

  13. I mean we probably would have picked up at least a point if Morgan wasnt stupid enough to get sent off. Bournemouth benefit from having patience with the team and manager. They have nearly all played together for years under the same manager. Our team is being rebuilt and we are midtable, so yea let us sack the manager every time we lose see where that gets us.

  14. For years most Leicester fans could only dream of being an average mid table premier league side. Let alone one with a PL title. Winning the league doesn’t make losing to Everton, Man U and Liverpool easier to take, the fact we give them a good game and are even playing them regularly is beyond the expectations of 10 years ago. We should be proud of where we are.

  17. It's not one step forward and two steps back. The problem is we’ve had a meteoric rise in terms of our ‘stature’ in English football over the last decade. We’re now at a spot where progressing to the next level is a massive, massive step. Right now we’re a top 10 PL side. If you’d have told me that we’d be whinging about that 10 years ago when we were in League 1 (10 years ago this weekend Lloyd Dyer scored a last minute winner away at Huddersfield) I wouldn’t have believed you. During those dark days under Levein, Kelly, Worthington, Allen, Megson and Holl

  20. The fact we made Huddersfield look like Man City under Shakespeare & couldn’t beat West Brom says all we need to know about Shakespeare and his managerial credentials. About the run, we had 3 or 4 incredible chances to beat Burnley, should have won. But we lost so according to 90% of this forum it was sh** and the manager has to go. Swansea at home we should have been 2-0 up, kelechi missing from 5 yards out. The only awful games were West Ham & palace imo, Southampton was boring but if you want entertaining football every week then you’re suppporting the wrong team.

  22. That’s factually wrong. He’s scored more under Puel last season in the Premier League (15) than he did under Ranieri/Shakespeare the season before (13). Im sure he ****ing hated having the ball lumped long to him during that season

  25. To play devils advocate here and try to put all the tooing and frowing between yourself and @Lizhanginto a little more perspective. A couple of points spring to mind. How many of the OHL games have you been to or at least watched in full? Is your love for Pearson and his time at Leicester, slightly clouding your judgement? How would you feel if some supporter kept harping on about a manager who was good for their club but was totally sucking the life out of LCFC? I dont want to cause any arguments, and this is all based on my opinion, but Lizhang is post

  29. Just a timely reminder for all those weeping at the feet of Mahrez - This is a bloke who saw no problem in co-opting depression to try and eke out a quicker move. I wonder if everyone would be so fawning if it were a more visible disease. 'staying at Leicester is giving him cancer.' I think, on the money he was on and the quality of life we'd given him, that he's ****ing shameless and people have been way too forgiving.

  30. So, managers confidence drops 14% because our most experienced player and captain, who should know a lot better, was stupid enough to be conned into silly, needless half way line tackle, Vardy missing a fantastic chance, plus two other half chances, and Amartey missing a sitter in the last seconds? We played well. We fully deserved our equalizer and were very much on top until Morgan's inexplicable actions. Had Vardy or even Amartey scored, the after match postings would have been totally different. Chilwell my MOTM. His improvement this season has been spectacular. Bu

We are a young team with growing pains, Fans just can't take the heat, because they just don't understand . We have a good squad, but we still have to grow, and will need additions as football demands. Top 10 I am happy so far. Other teams below top 5 ,competing for middle ground...Bournemouth/Wolves playing good football and presently on top form. 37. It's hard work trying to get the jist of this but I'll give it a go. I think it was obvious from the end of last season that the defence needed surgery with the loss of Huth and Wes into the twilight of his career. We spent £60+ million on four new defenders, only one of which is in the team and playing as a winger. I call that pretty disastrous, especially given proven premier league experience was available in Gibson and Mawson and also cheaper. I can live with Benkovic being the one for the future, but two? With a combined fee of £35m? You think we can afford to

  39. Ward was £12.6m, 25 years old and came here to be second choice. Hardly an inspiring signing especially as Kasper signed a new five year contract about a month later. So by the the end of that five years we'll either have a reserve GK on huge wages as a 36yo or a £12.6m 30yo who is coming to the end of his contract and never made the first team. If I owned the clubs heads would roll for the amount of money we spend on players who don't improve us. It just looks like there isn't enough research going in to players, it's either players who don't play or players who come in and are mo

  40. Let's pretend the game finished 1-1 and Morgan hadn't been sent off. If we dissect the game, we started horribly as per usual but got back in to it with a lovely counter attacking move. We are still at our most dangerous when we counter attack, the Iheanacho and Vardy goals vs Huddersfield and Ricardo's on Saturday show just how good we are. The 2nd half I felt we started to have the control that Puel craves but in terms of creating openings it was proving quite difficult, Chilwell had a great run and shot which would have been worthy of winning the game like Sigurdsson's turned out to do but

  42. Wes has been one of our greatest ever signings and greatest ever captains in terms of achievements and he deserves to be held in the highest esteem as a Leicester Legend for the rest of his life but the time has come to phase him out. I am happy for him to be around the squad and picked for cup games but unfortunately I think he is slightly past it as a Premier League performer. That is not to say he has been awful this season. He has been OK in some games and has been singled out for more stick than he was due but we just need to look to the future. The problem is we are not quite sure ye

  43. I think our main issue is whilst Mendy and ndidi are great at working hard and retrieving the ball, neither are going to unlock a defence with a pass or switch play 40/50 yards. No creativity from them. I think we need to play one with either Iborra or Silva. Personally I quite like silva and his style of play so would give him a go. Looks like he isn’t in Puel plans though.
