  1. All of us stayed in our seats though and paid our respects. What if his actions led to hundreds of others doing the same? We are all eternally grateful and thankful but there is a way of doing things, and running to a grieving man over a barrier doesn’t strike me as comforting. If you look at the letter he got he’s been banned for two months, which will be ended if he meets the security team on 29th December, not a season long ban or a banning order. The club are spot on in my view

  2. Why Leicester City are 'Simply the Best' City ambassador and legend Alan Birchenall reflects on the most incredible eight years in the club's history in the wake of its most tragic moment. I shared something special with Khun Vichai – and it wasn’t wealth. We were both adopted. Neither of us were from Leicester, but ever since we came to this city were adopted and embraced by this community and this football club. I have been associated with this club for 47 years and the last three weeks have been the worst in the club’s history, but in those 134 years the last eight have be

  3. Clearly the guy needs everything to be about him. He put the club in an awkward position and they were lenient. Now he posts this and casts the club in a bad light. Bit of a willy puller imo.

  4. Is this the knob who thought it was appropriate to grab a selfie with a grieving son? Disrespectful selfish w@nker if you ask me, he can f*** off.

  5. Pathetic really. He deserves to be banned and has got off lightly with the ban he's received. If everyone in the stadium who wanted to hug Top, ran onto the pitch at that point then lots of people would have been seriously injured. Also, top notch parenting and role model behaviour to run onto the pitch and leave your 9 year old child in the stands. Very sensible thing to do.

  6. So my tin pot, country bumpkin U10’s finally got their first win of the season today against the might of an inner city team. I’m so proud of em I could cry

  8. Poignant and emotional moment and he wanted it to make it about him. Disgraceful. Please the club has banned him.

  9. Like with every other decision the club have made during this difficult time, they have got it spot on in my opinion.

  10. Absolutely. It was nobbish behaviour by him on all accounts. Cannot understand anyone defending his actions or criticising the club for their response. Also - supporter goes on to confirm his nobbishness by leaking details of the private letter between the club and him to the local rag...

  11. I think it’s a slap on the hand in all honesty, the club still had to set an example otherwise more people do it, it’s only 2 months. I bet in other cases it’s longer than that

  12. Please tell me that's not true. Someone actually tried to get a selfie? If that's true my hatred of selfies intensifies.

  14. I remember the guy who ran on the pitch in the 0-5 thrashing by Villa. He got a three year ban. He would've missed seeing us at home 2004 - 2007. That was a bloody reward, not a punishment!!

  15. Club are absolutely right to ban him. He got off very lightly. Wouldn't happen into a quieter mourning scenario so there is no excuse.

  16. Ban should be longer for going to the press. The guy is clearly an egotistical fvck, HE wanted to be the bloke who ran on the pitch and hugged top. Stupid twat.

  17. It's because all our players are world class or shite. It's not like we've ever had players that have looked avarage. Then all of a sudden become Premier League Champions.

  18. The rules are the rules. Today it's a person with good intentions acting stupidly, tomorrow it could be some whackjob with bad intentions. Everyone else stayed in their seats most of whom probably felt like giving Top a hug but there has to be boundaries. It's just put our grieving chairman in an awkward position now that it's become public when he had enough on his plate.

  19. The whole thing is a farce. Cameron gambled on getting a Remain vote but it backfired. Fvck knows why they ever gave us the choice in the first place. We elect governments to make decisions like this for us. This is what happens when you let the idiots (on both sides) make decisions!

  20. We lost 1-2, but in my opinion we played our best game of the season by far. We were the better team and didn't deserve to lose this game. Winning our last 2 games has given the players their confidence back, and it shows. Lots of pressure on the ball, creating chances, good passing,... All the things that were missing this season have suddenly returned. Even when we went 0-1 down, the players kept fighting and playing good football. This was unimaginable a couple of weeks ago. Like Lizhang has said before, Nigel has gone back to playing our best player of last season (Mathieu Maer

  21. Saw this on Facebook and actually commented on our fan page which is extremely rare for me. instead of complaining about the club issuing a ban till the Cardiff game and getting his cronies to complain on social media he should be ringing the club up and thanking them for letting him off so lightly. Sure he is a nice enough lad etc but he’s made a mistake so you take your medicine. Under normal circumstances he’d get a three year ban.

  23. Not really Mays fault tbh, it was always going to damage whatever party was in charge because the vision the leave campaign sold was never achievable. The actual terms of the deal are near irrelevant in the criticism of it, it was never going to satisfy the Eurosceptics. Only brexit strategy that might have worked for her was to throw last year's election and leave Corbyn holding the time bomb.

  24. For clarity... The tw@t asking for the selfie was in the east stand about opposite the dug outs. The c0ck that ran on the pitch was from the family stand.

  25. Bloke who took a selfie was in east stand (What a c0ck, trying to get a grieving son to smile at the camera) The fan who ran on the pitch was from the family stand (an equally as big a c0ck) Deservedly banned as everyone knows if you go over the boarding you will be arrested Club spot again

  26. He has shot himself in the foot by revealing the letter (fake or not) via social media. If he really wanted any sympathy from it, he should've apologised for being breaching security and being daft by apologising to the club in-person; either by, arranging a meeting with the club in-person where possible to discuss it, ringing up the club to the relevant department and/or writing a formal strong apologetic letter to the club at the first opportunity possible regretting his actions.

  30. The bloke clearly meant no harm, did he? Think a little phone call asking him politely not to do it again would have sufficed.

  31. Rubbish. There’s a right way to have done this and a wrong way imo. The club and an amazing amount of football fans over the globe have done it the right way. His was the wrong way. The club have been lenient.

  40. As if the club are going to be criticised for the way they've handled things. He was pretty moronic to do that. I personally thought it was really poor at the time.

  41. It was said all along that we wouldn't get this amazing deal that was promised. It was said all along that the EU would barely budge; as was foretold, this has proven to be the case. Rather than accept this, it's the EU's/The Governments/Someone elses fault, and Brexiteers would definitely be able to negotiate another, better deal, while simultaneously being unable to say what this new deal would entail.

  43. A lot of posters in this thread are being unnecessarily harsh or judgemental. for no reason other than Pearson being criticised. Strange, as I think a lot of the criticism has been warranted and not over the top. I suppose that's difficult for some of our fans to acknowledge.
