  1. Anyone else want to suggest that Puels policy towards more pitch time for young players is why players like him see us as potential permanent destinations

  5. You mean aside from Barnes missing a one v one after being slide through by Tielemans? Or Barnes dragging a shot wide after cutting inside? Or Gray putting a free header straight at the keeper? Or Evans putting a free header over the bar? To suggest we didn't create many good chances without Vardy is nonsense.

  12. Blue belt to blue shirt – Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans gets to grips with the Premier League Youri Tielemans has no concerns that he will be able to get to grips with the Premier League - thanks to his background in judo. The midfielder has joined City on loan from Monaco until the end of the season and when he arrived there were comments in France that he could be physically knocked around the Premier League. However, the 21-year-old has no such concerns and revealed his entire family are trained in the martial art as his parents were judo coaches. His old

  19. I think the video really reminds us of from where we came from under King Power and the journey we have taken. It is great to show off especially to clubs who don't have a Premier League title to their name. However I think it needs moving off the screens next year. The round of applause is getting a bit Forest in my opinion over something that is now well behind us. It should be replaced with something that concentrates maybe on our exciting young players and looking to hopefully some future success.

  20. I certainly hope so. And the quicker their demise the better for me. Hopefully Ponch will wake up and go soon too, and join a club that supports what he's doing rather than a chairman like Levy, who the media love to call 'shrewd', but his reluctance to spend on transfers, and give the going rate wages, is going to cost them and in my view has already cost them trophies. A shrewd businessman speculates to accumulate. Levy is not doing that, in fact he's doing the opposite. Accumulating debt without speculating on what pays that debt off.......winning trophies, which attract and kee

  25. This is true. People denigrate the north west of the county for being "Coalville" but actually the countryside in that area is quite beautiful. The countryside around the south is also lovely, Market Harborough and the areas around Foxton and Gumley. Lovely places to walk. We might not be the Derbyshire dales or the southern Pennines but we are blessed with lots of very pleasant countryside which is well worth walking though. If your looking to while away a couple of hours where you're wondering what to do or where to go, I'd recommend a walk around Foxton Locks, you'll be surprised if yo

  27. I was at the game as Oxford my local team and I had only just clicked it was our KNight when he went off! Caused by a collision and seemed ok but they signalled straight away he was going off and he limped off would suggest an impact injury. He looked like a typical league 1/2 player in terms of good in the air and whacking it long!

  32. People talk about Salary Caps and draft systems.... the first thing that needs to be done (and something that doesnt damages the game unlike the other things mentioned) is to limit the squad sizes. Clubs like Man City, Chelsea etc have dozens of players in the squad + dozens more on loan. Its a simple fix... i dunno, maximum 36 man squad

  36. Parents these days My U10’s team always start the game well then fade 2nd half cos they’re fvcked. I ‘suggested’ to the parents on WhatsApp that the kids have a half time orange to give them a boost, like we did back in the day. Responses from parents included: > My boy won’t eat oranges! > How about you give them a Red Bull or Lucozade sport? > Can you as the coach please tell them to eat thier breakfast cos they won’t listen to me! > Jelly Babies? > Jaffa cakes or some sort of chocolate? 37. It's fair to think that there is so much hyperbole that it is difficult to differentiate between that and real issues going on. However, I think I can help with cutting through some of that and answering the question you pose with three things that IMO could have long-term bad ramifications that he is responsible for (sort of covered them in a jokey way a few posts back): - Downplaying or flat-out ignoring the threat of climate change and legislative measures to that effect (like quitting the Paris Agreement). As anyone who knows me on here knows damn well, this is the

  40. It is good fun, but impossible to compare players of any sport in different eras. The difference in equipment alone is one reason why, another is the higher fitness, another the higher quality and depth of competition. Gordon Banks had to deal with out of shape footballs with laces sticking out, that weighed a ton when wet! Often keepers didn't wear gloves, or if they did they were those thin cotton green gloves which offered little or no protection. I just wonder how Kasper and the rest of the current crop would deal with those conditions?!! Take Rod Laver as an exampl

  44. Cut inside off the left flank, had Maddison alongside him, all the time in the world, dragging it wide of the near post. Barnes should have had the easiest hattrick of his life. At the moment no chance Vardy scores that. An inform Vardy yes, but he's miles from that and really as a result shouldn't be starting.

  46. Ready for a few pelters here as Kasper has been great for us and is a fantastic leader on and off the pitch but if I was manager, now is the time to sell Kasper and go and pluck Jack Butland from Championship obscurity. Right time and at a reduced transfer fee and for me he will clearly be England's best goalkeeper over the next 10 years.
