  1. If local rivals are good enough to play in the Premier League then great, but until then I don't really think about them. It's more fun mocking deluded 'big club' fans than Coventry.

  2. Hi folks, I’m a Celtic fan who is coming to terms with BR leaving in the manner in which he did... I had (and still have) some admiration for BR the manager... anyway when he was at Celtic I painted a portrait of him Acrylic on canvas 16” x 20” and was going to keep it forever as he was going to stay forever😂😱. I’m now thinking of auctioning/ selling to raise money for Celtic Foundation. Something good has to come out of it 😎. Do you think it is something that Foxes would be interested in and worth selling to raise money? cheers D

  3. Someone has started a Twitter campaign to spam Madders and Chilly’s statuses with ironic “Come to Leicester” comments to outnumber the annoying Man U fans. You love to see it And this response to a Chelsea fan:

  4. I have a policy of not mocking anyone who supports their local team (regardless if it is a local rival and unless o am mocked by them). In this day and age I have more respect for fans of forest than the glory fans that have helped erode some of that rivalry. However, that said, I always want to finish above them and don't mind seeing them lose!

  6. Lovely piece on him on the premier league website: https://www.premierleague.com/news/1494119 With nearly a third of 2019/20 gone, Adrian Clarke looks at the surprise success stories of the season so far. Leicester City Sitting in second, the Foxes will travel to Brighton & Hove Albion in Matchweek 13 as Liverpool's nearest challengers at the top. Playing attacking football without sacrificing defensive strength, Leicester have amassed 26 points from their 12 matches. It is the most they have had at this stage of a top-flight campaign, and one mor

  7. They’ve dismissed us for years as not being their true rivals (Forest, Derby) let them rot in the Championship and fight for their little bit of silverware, the wonderful Brian Clough trophy 🏆 we now have bigger fish to fry.

  8. No disrespect to Chelsea, but.. If we buy Abraham at a very good price(not more than £25m) to replace Slimani who is sold for £10m, and he’s comfortable playing backup to Vardy. Then I am cool with that.

  9. The Forest fans i know mock me over having no rivals. My response is , " oh well, we'll just have to make do with a modern stadium, a billionaire owner , a £100 million training facility, a team littered with internationals , a recent premier league win and....erm , oh yeah, second in the league ". Normally shuts them up.

  10. I think that I can provide a source for @MattP's list of claims...... Copied and pasted from right-wing web site Guido Fawkes from 2017? Certainly looks to be an identical list.....https://order-order.com/2017/06/08/100-times-jeremy-corbyn-sided-terrorists/ That's plagiarism if you try to present someone else's ideas as your own, without crediting them, isn't it, Matt? Or did you get them from some other dodgy right-wing source who had ripped them off from Guido? The list has links to sources on the Guido Fawkes site, if anyone can be bothered - though

  12. Kanté could've (and most players would've) gone to a CL club and we'd have been powerless to stop it - he had a very low release clause and countless big clubs interested in securing his services. If anything he did us a favour by sacrificing a year of CL football and going to Chelsea, who had to pay us 50% more because of their lack of CL football. Kanté was nothing but a model pro for us and when he left he was arguably one of the few players who was genuinely 'too good for Leicester'. In the immediate aftermath apart from our CL success we more-or-less reverted to type as expect

  13. I think Rodgers has more power here than we know. Top and Rudkin didn't just hire him as a football coach. They also hired a man with a vision. And you can't create a vision like Leicester City Football Club by yourself. You need everyone pulling in the same direction. Its happening here NOW. This is a club that is in the process of becoming a big club. When you go to a big club you don't get any say in how its run. It already runs the way its supposed to run. There are big egos and minefields to walk. They've already been successful. Your basically hired as a caretaker.

  15. Don't think we have to 'mock' anyone really. I'm sure Derby, Forest, Cov fans know they're struggling and we're now light years ahead of them. But things change and go in cycles so lets not get complacent and too cocky. Stay classy

  17. I think the antipathy towards us has grown out of sheer envy. I'm 35 and can say that I've seen my team win two league cups, two play-off finals, three divisional titles that include arguably the most famous Premier League title in living memory and three European campaigns. I've seen our club go from midtable second tier mediocrity and even the third tier to the pinnacle of the game. Supporting Leicester City over the past decade has been more fun and our club has made more progress than arguably any other in English football. What has a Forest or Derby fan of a simil

  18. Aren't you just breath of fresh air, you must be fun at parties ! Some players may push for a move but if we have Champions League then most players will stay & we will probably become a place top ballers want to come to. Players will recognize that with Brendan, a new training ground, a fantastic owner and top players this club is upwardly mobile.

  21. This is one of the key skills I learnt from my course of CBT. It's ok to be upset, anxious, sad whatever for a short time but if you dwell on it that's when things tend to get worse. Dwelling on the negative sends you into a spiral and that spiral is a lot harder to get out of. For me there were daily spirals that would last 10, 15 minutes maybe even half an hour or more. And every day that happened, the feelings inside me were building up and the cloud above my head gradually got bigger and bigger and harder to live with to the point where not being alive seemed like a solution. There's scien

  24. I had a quick flick through and context is certainly missing with some of the claims. I remember just a couple of weeks ago we were talking about the need for Brexit quotes to be put in context and then you post this. As an example, one that stood out to me was saying bin Laden's death was a tragedy. Where as his point was it's a tragedy he wasn't captured and brought to justice inline with international law. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/jeremy-corbyn-calls-osama-bin-ladens-death-a-tragedy-but-was-it-taken-out-of-context-10479396.html%3

  29. Exactly. Perfect time to put Vardy on at the start of extra time. Fresh, rapid legs. Run at them, stretch them, go at them. But no, Southgate spanners about for another weak 20 minutes when the entire country could see that Vardy would terrorise tired legs.

  31. RIVALS Typical traditional rivalries are usually geographically tied So it used to be Derby, Forest, Cov - and a battle for the pride Same league and similar standard, the game was never won Until the final whistle, and all was said and done But since those days we've strapped, a rocket to our arse Fait accompli for the rest of them, was nothing short of a farce We wouldn't really have believed, and they would like us excluded But we've upset the big 6, and demand to be included Some definitely more than others, uneven hatred from both sides Chelse

  33. This is my team for WL. 10 wins from 14 so far. I've heard a lot of criticism from youtubers about this Thiago Silva card but he's a beast for me. Barnes is good but not sure he's 600k good so might sell him when this weekend league is over. Hoping PSG go a long way in CL for Gueye to gain upgrades

  37. If you want a little insight into Brendan Rogers and his addiction to Football then you could do worse than getting your hands on a copy of "Invincible". The backdrop to the book is his first season with Celtic. However his belief in "Death by Football" is what we are viewing on a weekly basis.Worth a read

  38. I’d be surprised if we DID lose one or two. If we’re to sell one of our starlets then it won’t be done in January it will be dragged out for the next 12 months whilst we demand the highest price possible and make sure we’re equipped for when he leaves.

  39. Rodgers is in a no lose situation here in terms of job security. Providing we dont see ourselves down in the bottom 6 of the table what pressure has he realistically got here. Yes he could go to Man City at some point or perhaps even Spurs or Arsenal etc. But how long will their fans give him. They expect instant silverware and if you don't achieve that, they gun for you. And as a manager, if you're shown the door then it's a rebuild for your career again. Does Rodgers want the risk of all that? Like others have said, I think he might be in it for the long haul.

  41. I don't read it like that Deb. I read it that those who have more luck take more chances and actively create opportunities for themselves (working smarter not harder maybe?) I think the main reason most of us (me included) feel like we don't have much luck is that we limit our own potential from an early age. We 'play it safe' and stay in our comfort zone instead of taking risks and backing ourselves. Then we have kids, get a mortgage and responsibilities and take fewer risks and play it even safer. It's just fear that stops us really. Fear of fvcking it up,
