Something felt entirely false and even opportunist about the way Ian Stringer conducted himself in this coverage and i don't think i was the only one who thought that. Giving it a "moment of the year" tag sounds like something that should be happy and celebrated rather than the darkest day in our history. The way he was around the time just screamed of self promotion and a shot at more national coverage, and

  2. Do we really need to slag. Set the 80mil aside, he was a good player for us and improved our style. His ball playing allowed the midfield to push at least 30 yards further forward. That was the starting point of our football revolution. It's a bit childish to be all nah, nah to HM now.

  3. It's funny because four games he hasn't started for us this season include United away, both Liverpool games and Norwich at home. All those games we struggled to create much in and could have done with him. Obviously I'm not saying that's the only reason, but he's a big part of how we play and his footballing intelligence to find the spaces and pick out the pass is really too drawer at times. A great signing.

  4. I’ll repeat what I put in the Chilwell thread, in terms of the history of LCFC we’re having one of the best seasons ever, and 3 much maligned players (Perez, Chilly and Barnes) who come in for most Criticism are all an integral part of our success so far this season, I’m sure players respond better when backed and supported by us rather than jeered and moaned at.

  7. Changing the subject (and probably in the wrong thread) - I've just seen Troy Deeney on that Amazon football program. What a totally sound person he is. Absolutely lovely man. All is forgiven (particularly when you think if we had been promoted that year we may not have won the ****ing league - and we did you know - we won the ****ing league - I might get bored of saying that before I die [no I won't]).

  8. I'm glad you think City will finish strongly. I assume you mean Leicester City as you are on a Leicester City forum. And I agree. I think Man City's squad will be tired because they will prioritise the Champions league,

  9. I've said for a while he might be one of those players who never really stand out in a game but by the end of the season his stats will be right up there. He actually has 7 goals and 4 assists so far in the PL and the only players to have a better record than this outside of the strikers are: Mane (11 goals - 6 assists) Salah (11-5) De Bruyne (7-15) Mahrez (7-7) Grealish (7-5) Not bad company at all and on his stats alone is well worth the £30m paid even though unlike the five players above he's not the sort of player to get you off your seat.

  11. We need finish 3rd just in case the unthinkable happens, and say someone like Spurs manage to fluke a champions league win and one of the English sides win the Europa. In that scenario I think 4th in the league misses out. Unlikely probably, but still best to take no chances.

  12. The sudden upturn in form and attitude is nothing less than miraculous. before he looked like a lost soul, not quite knowing what his role was and how he fitted into the dynamic of the squad. This was reflected in his performances when he often seemed as if he could not be bothered. I think he has been given a sense of direction and now knows that he is valued, both in the matchday squad and on the training field. Whereas previously he was getting the odd 10 minute cameo, now when he gets on he is at least being given enough time to get into the game, and his appearances are becoming more re

  13. Mahrez - Wanted move and (allegedly) threw toys out the pram, kicked up a fuss, had a tantrum, disturbed team morale, waited in airports for a move. Result? Took until he published the article of "wasting 2 years" for fans to really get the arse with him and that's not likely to be sustained. Maguire - Wanted move and (allegedly) conducted himself professionally, was ready to stay if a deal wasn't reached, didn't throw tantrums or knock doors down, accepted the situation that a value had to be met. Result? Fan base takes the piss, mocks him, boos him, talks about how h

  18. It's easy to get a bit carried away with Wolves when you only watch them play against the big teams. They're actually a bit like us historically, they work really hard, they counter well, they've got some good players but they lack invention. They're where they are in the league because when you watch them play the muck, they often come up short in a way we've started to put behind us (recent blip aside.) The way we took West Ham apart with slick, quick movement, overlaps all over the place, nice vertical passing, it's been the haulmark of Rodgers footbal

  23. Gunna get stick for this but whatever, no one is immune from criticism. These are horrid. Why on earth have we printed what is, in honesty, a half and half scarf? Also I get the idea of linking them with the kit that we're likely to wear on the day but making a sea of blue and white instead of black would have been much more fitting imo. What's worse is that the club will have had to have made 4000 of them, in case every single person who is entitled to one went to pick theirs up. I'd guess that a big proportion of them went uncollected but given the circumstances the

  24. Not sure if it’s the funniest but it still cracks me up... Sat in the waiting room to my Dr’s and as always they are really late. The nurse walks out and calls “Mr Smith” no reply “Mr Smith” she says a bit louder looking around the waiting room, a third time this time much louder “MR SMITH” before walking over to some old bloke, gets in his face and shouts “MR SMITH, ARE YOU HERE FOR YOUR HEARING TEST”. I lost it.

  26. You make a good point. If he ends up with 10 goals at the end of the season, you have to say he has been a success even though he often frustrates the hell out of me and I was dismayed to see us spend £30m on him.

  27. He is a lot better than people give him credit for. Very good at linking up play, but he's not a natural winger but more of a inside forward. 7 goals and 5 assists is not a bad return though, considering he hasn't played every game and tends to be substituted early.

  39. I remember he did the most brilliant analysis of us on the BBC when we won the league. He couldn’t speak highly enough of us. Last season at home v Watford, him and Fuchs were warming up as subs and having a right laugh together. I reckon Deeney loves us and wishes he could have played for us at some stage. He’s a great character.

  46. This season is the best chance in the CLUB'S RECENT HISTORY to win the FA Cup. - We have a banging squad, possibly the best ever - We have a manager who values the cups and has experience winning them - We have no European football to clog our fixture list - League status is safe, and top 4 is all but safe barring a total collapse in form - Next season we'll have at least 6 European games to fit in, so as stated above those will take precedent - The traditional "big 6" are terrible other than 2 of them No more "the league takes precedent". No
