  1. It would be quite funny to see Liverpool win the title at Anfield with no crowd. For that reason, I'm in.

  4. Speaking as an elderly person can I just say how refreshing it is to hear your point so well expressed? To save the world any more inconvenience I should self-destruct at the earliest available opportunity. Sorry for causing so much trouble. Shame I never got to see us win the Cup but - it's the least I can do...

  5. Still absolutely baffling when some of you lot don't put Dennis Praet in your team hes the best midfielder we have at the moment.

  9. Praet falls into that classic Foxestalk mould of quietly doing a job without being so heavily involved, which makes him a scapegoat whenever he does get involved in either box and it doesn't go perfectly. See Wellens, James, King after he was moved from AMF for reference. Difference is that Praet has a better pass than all of them put together in him, as best shown in that beautiful team move against Brentford. Which is why he's a regular for us now, and for the golden generation of Belgium's national side. Honestly, this thread would not even be a talking point if he h

  13. There is a serious side to all this. The average person guffs about a litre of methane per day. (Yes, I googled it). In a lifetime that's over 27,000 litres. Extrapolated across the world's population, that means that we will have all squeezed out 205,312,500,000 cubic metres of stink before we pop our clogs. No wonder we have climate change, no wonder Yorkshire's under water. I wonder if that's the reason Greta Thunberg always looks so stern? Probably doing her best to hold hers in.

  14. Think we all know people who have health issues that may be of more serious risk, to prevent spread of a virus which could kill these people, I'm all in favour of being played behind closed doors. My father has varying health issues, I'd rather keep him alive then go to a football match.

  19. Posted this in another thread, but this explains Praet's role in our side: Zone 3 has arguably the most important role to play in keeping possession. This player must be particularly good at keeping possession under pressure from opponents and will often see their passes also being played short for the duration of the game. Leon Britton, Pirlo and Xavi are examples of players who act as the deep lying play makers, the water carriers, the short playing quarterback or the ‘volante de salida’ which simply translates in football terms as the outlet for under-pressure team mate

  21. The negativity in the this place is terrible somtimes. We've literally drew with Chelsea at home already this decade at home. a game in which we it's widely acknowledged that we had the best off with double the amount of shots than them. Oh and Ndidi was missing! Not huge stretch to think we could beat them next time out especially with extra time and penalties in the mix.

  22. No new cases in Hubei, excluding Wuhan in the last 24 hours. That's a tick in the box for totalitarian regimes. How do people still not get it? It spreads quickly, all the young/middle aged healthy people will probably be fine. But if we don't all act to try and control the spread we are putting the elderly and ill people in our lives at risk. This kind of unsubstantiated fear mongering doesn't help. I have seen no official reports of it evolving and getting more aggressive. Same as whoever posted on here that they read it lasts for days on hard surfaces. T

  26. Iheanacho is about the only player that has had these on toast in all 3 games we've played against them this season, he has to play and he needs a strike partner. If for some reason Vardy isn't fit then get Perez through the middle with him like we did vs West Ham and Newcastle where they both had good games together. This will be another battle and we need to be prepared for it, rather than turning our noses up at having to fight and try and pass it about between Evans and Soyuncu all game, we need to be prepared to go direct and do to them what they might try and do to us. 30. In the queue for a coffee last night, about 7.30pm, turnstiles 7-12. I dropped my guts. I’m not wishing to be over dramatic, but on reflection, I have come to the conclusion that it was the second worst fart I have ever done. Sulphuric, which is rare for me, deep, potent, lingering, it was an absolute beauty. The poor bloke behind me had a couple of young kids with him, god I felt for them, I took all three of them out and fair play to them, they stayed in the queue and took it all in. It wasn’t just them that suffered, many in the vicinity were looking around wondering

  32. Yes and no I think. He is clear technically skilled, can link play when others are moving at pace, such as Ricardo. It makes me think that what are seeing with this team is evidence that it’s a project. The early season success largely down to exuberance, high levels of fitness and being on a roll. I know I will be shouted down as zealot/idiot/fanboy/<insert slur>, but not really fussed about that.

  36. I wonder if we'll do kind of what mk Don's did? When stadium mk opened it was 22k but the stadium was built deeper and with a higher roof than needed, it left an open void at the top of the stand with steelwork etc in place for extra tiers. They then added a 2nd tier all the way around bringing it to 32k and if they ever become anything other than a tin pot club they can add a final 3rd tier bringing it to 45k for minimal cost. It would seem odd spending nearly £100 million on redeveloping the KP and surrounding site but only making 1 stand bigger on the actual stadium, at least pu

  37. All your points are spot on! To be fair the defence has been pretty good and, having looked at it, another 9 goals in that 'dire' period ( and that's only one every other game) could have gained us an extra 11 points and probably got us to a cup final! Maybe shows we should've got a loan striker in the january window. Shows our reliance on JV (only one Vardy goal in those 18 matches)

  39. Praet has impressed me recently. You need a player like him in s squad. You have flair players, that can't tackle. You have defending midfielders who can't pass consistently accurately. Praet does both well, but is not outstanding. What he is good at is close control and keeping the ball ticking over. He also makes good decisions on passes. Don't forget, against Man City, he was the one keeping KDB quiet for most of he game. Personally, I've been impressed with him and there is definitely space for him alongside Maddison and Ndidi. He's performing better than tielemans

  40. It is a very serious matter for all of us because pretty much everyone has a close relative or friend who is in the vulnerable group. As such few will want to contract the virus and risk passing it on to them. Furthermore the litigation culture we live in makes the possibility of the cancelling of events increasingly likely because no-one wants to be seen as being responsible for the spread of the virus.

  42. This thread has absolutely killed me off. I've been nearly crying I'm laughing so much and I showed my wife and she really didnt see the funny side. Farts are a taboo subject in our house as we actually split up for a while, way before we were married, because I thought it would be funny to fart in her face with my bare arse while she was sat on the toilet. I found it hilarious until she broke up with me a few weeks later. She never said it was because of the fart incident but we both knew it was. But a few years later and she still married me. I don't fart in her face anymore but I have on s
