  1. Time for this lot to show some bollocks under pressure, this is the sort of situation that can make or break these players. If they are as good as they w as not to be then this is where we turn the screw and shut down the chasing pack. He has always been our talisman but Vardy won't let us blow this without a huge fight.

  2. The cushion has allowed us to sleep walk through a dozen fixtures but that is a luxury we can no longer afford. Time for the players to wake up and show that they have some fight because, make no mistake, we are being dragged back into a dogfight. They need to show guts and determination and be prepared to scrap for victories in every game from here on in. We also need some passionate leadership on the field. Expect Jamie to step up and lead by example tomorrow night. And off the field we need a raucous atmosphere to drive us on to victory. Although I can understand why tomorrow's game is not

  3. And to think people were getting mocked for being concerned a month/month and a half ago. How dare they be so pessimisitic?! So critical?! Not make excuses for poor results and performances.

  4. As fans we are totally invested in our club so I totally understand some of the negativity on here right now. On an emotional level, I'm fighting that feeling myself. However, the players' confidence is so low that if we transfer our anxiety to them it will create a lethal cocktail. Conversely we can play a huge part in galvanizing the players by encouraging every kick, starting against Villa. Let's do everything we can to drag this inexperienced team over the line!

  5. There’s a lot more too this than simply dying yourself. The majority of us on here will be young and healthy enough to get away with mild symptoms, that’s not really the point. The impact on the vulnerable age group though, who some people seem to be talking about like they don’t even matter, and the social and economic impact, could be quite severe and disruptive.

  6. Speaking of panic, yesterday I thought I'll get some cash just in case but there was none in the 3 or 4 machines I tried in town so I popped into one of the banks just before 5pm. There was a bit of a queue and I was just about to get my cash card out when I noticed two guys behind me in surgical masks. They were both sweating and shaking, so people started to panic a bit. When one of the guys shouted that it was a robbery everyone calmed down immediately and passed them their wallets. Be on your guard and stay safe.

  7. Yes we do. And I totally agree. I wasn't suggesting we should be complacent but the way the press have been reporting this in a sensationalist manner is frustrating. People will get infected, most won't and if they do it will be relatively mild. The press reporting is sensationalist with a bit of common sense advice, for balance. A decent percentage of those that watch/read the news will over-react, hence the panic buying and supermarkets restricting the purchase of some products. The press coverage so often causes the public to fear the worst when, in fact, they should be advising the reality

  11. But SARS was far far far less transmissible than Coronavirus. You simply cannot compare. Sars blew itself out after 800 cases, Coronavirus is now growing exponentially everywhere where serious proactive, protective measures have not been implemented. Im amazed how many people are not taking this seriously. The numbers quoted also dont take into account what happens to health care capacity as infections contunue to increase. The percentage requiring hospitalisation and Intensive Care is alarming so how on earth do we cope when things ramp up here. Italy is already crea

  18. Sounds bad but I for one won’t miss him if he goes. Got heaps of potential and ability but the love of himself far exceeds both. If he wants out and we can get a good price and get a hungrier, cheaper alternative then I’m all for it. He’s had a decent season and a half here but that’s all it is. He’s a million miles away from legendary status and his recent performances have been ordinary to say the least. If he wants to stay and try and fulfil that potential here then great. Not fussed either way. If Ndidi wanted to leave howev

  21. Not too concerned with the Chelsea win, if they overtake us then so be it. A Man City win would probably put this weekend in the 'decent' category so far. A Man U win would be fvcking awful, obviously.

  23. Rodgers won't start with two up front. As frustrating as it is. We went with two up front at Villa Park, battered them. Can't stand one up front. Especially when we still persist with one up front against the likes of Norwich.

  28. Thanks for the kind words. It's been a very challenging few years to say the least. A case in point is this afternoon when your coming home on a freezing afternoon and you've drawn 2-2 to Gillingham and conceded in the 96th minute!!! You'll remember yourself the hard slog of league one football as a big club in the division. We are making much harder work of it than you did. Fingers crossed we can get promoted this season and on the right track but the Premiership feels lightyears away ay this moment in time. It sounds like your very lucky to have such a well structured and commit

  29. We complain about our country but having a universal healthcare system, and organisations such as PHE who are given responsibility to lead the response to this put us at a great advantage. You only have to look at the States and the Trump/CDC debacle to see how we’re ahead of the game. Expect ourselves, France and Germany to deal with this fairly well (not saying there won’t be major disruption and lots of deaths).

  30. You are unfortunately almost certainly wrong. Look at China - roughly 3,000 deaths, from roughly 100,000 cases (actually somewhat fewer). Their healthcare system is very good (as the WHO has said, they are very good at keeping people alive with this disease), so there's no reason to suspect that we'll do any better. The government is expecting somewhere between 35% and 80% morbidity (penetration of the population) over the next 6 months or so for this disease [why won't we stop at 80,000 like China? Because we won't/can't/don't want to enact the draconian quarantine restrictions

  31. I don’t care just ****ing win. Don’t **** this up. Don’t have those pundits and Man U fans run it in with their “creme always rises to the top” shite. Just show up and get the results for the next five games. Sorry, dramatic, I know but I needed to get it out.

  33. Kasper Ricardo Evans Soy Chilwell Ndidi Tielemans Praet Maddison Nacho Vardy I think we need all our best players on the pitch for this one. Keep Barnes and Perez as options for half time if it's not working or bring Fuchs into the back 3 and push Ricardo and Chilwell forwards.

  34. Or Northern Italy has quite a substantial elderly unhealthy population who we already know from Chinese data are far more susceptible, only 2 of their recent deaths are under 60. South Korea has done the most testing, 3x as much as anyone else as a proportion of population and have a death rate comfortably below 1. Suggests there a heap of cases that go unnoticed bringing the actual mortality rate but that seems to be largely ignored in favour of any take that can make it look worse than it is.

  35. This is where Brendan earns his corn in the next 10 games as far as I am concerned. Prove he can manage us through the stress and anxiety and show some bottle, making brave decisions along the way. He crapped out at Liverpool and coasted with the easiest job in the UK for 3 years. Time for him to show he is a big game manager for us.

  37. What about when we were bottom of the league 5 seasons ago, not winning, losing when we could have drawn, in poor form - what happened after that? Escaped relegation with a game to spare, finishing the season in 14th. People saying 'we don't deserve Europe', 'we'll finish 7th', 'guaranteed to lose out' etc etc is fvcking boring now. We're 3rd. Even if we lose tomorrow, we're still 3rd. There's more than enough games to get enough points to qualify for Europe while other teams around us take points off each other. Until it's mathematically impossible to qual

  43. There's plenty of sensible reasons why it's not happened. If you're Maddison's agent you are watching the pre-window movements very closely. For example, if Pogba agrees something with someone in the next couple of months then Manchester United are in the market for a midfielder etc. There is therefore no rush on the agent's part to strike a deal with us. If you're Leicester you are going to be wary of chucking a £150k/week contract (i.e. £39m in wages over 5 years) at a player if you are not secure of Champions League football. The player is contracted for 3.5 years he

  44. Yeah it is. I've seen almost every player take criticism from our fans during this poor run of form yet Brendan seems to have an easy ride for whatever reason. It's a real concern that he still hasn't addressed any of these issues

  45. Why, when you have a wealth of information from useful sources so easily available at your fingertips, would you read reddit? I mean at least with Twitter you can choose to pay attention only to people that you can verify their background but reddit? Save yourself. I do enjoy checking the WHO research database everyday, try to read at least all the abstracts and then go from there. Obviously have limits to my understanding with no medical background but I just love information overloads. Also, one positive has come out of it for me. As someone that has major bouts of
