  2. Not sure how many people were aware of this, (I wasn’t personally) We were really close to signing Henrik Larsson. Podcast will be out tomorrow 👍🏻

  3. Well there isn't evidence either way yet because no ones had the virus long enough. It's just true with viruses in general that the overwhelming majority of cases do get immunity for a while after getting it and it's very likely this virus will behave the same. There's always going to be exceptions to that of course.

  4. People that don't like him: Weird blokes that think they know football and judge a manager on what they're like in the media Joke footballers with shit attitudes like Beckford and Bullard Dickheads People that like him: Almost everybody that's ever worked with him Knowledgeable football fans Non-dickheads

  6. Not looked into it, but off the top of my head: Having to set up all their employees to work remotely from home. Having to deal with social care, child protection, care homes and schools etc. And put in plans to make it work during this crisis. I think local councils also have something to do with businesses receiving government money and grants through some of these new schemes. Plus they've underfunded some/all of them for years.

  7. Steve Howard is only ‘dreadful’ if you’re comparing him to the players we’ve got now. He was decent for us, but not a legend. Just a likeable player that was good at the time for where we were at

  8. Personally I think we should commit to playing the 19/20 season. Then put contingency plans in place to make 20/21 a half season, played neutral grounds one match against each team.

  12. I don’t think it would be bad if he came out and admitted he went and got as far as sitting down with Wenger. Who wouldn’t explore different options in a career? Point is he stayed and we’re where we are now. The one thing that I’ve picked up that’s a pet hate is Wenger saying he wasn’t experienced enough at that level to start every game at the Euros. Nobody said that about Rooney, Ronaldo, Mbappe as young lads. And that’s a short list. It’s utter bullshit this experience thing. You’re good enough or you aren’t and that’s half the problem with the england team. Relying on a squad

  17. There's probably more people that are deciding to leave the house for a walk or just to clear their head. A lot of people probably thought, 3 weeks. I can do that, but with the extension and realisation that this might go on longer. People are gonna have to get out the house for their own mental wellbeing. Even if it's just for a drive. We're (generally) sociable beings aren't we. People will try and safely get out and agree to see friends or family on a walk or something. I imagine the vast majoirty are still keeping their distance from each other. As long

  19. Think it was @MattP that mentioned weird dreams but just had my own. Phone was cracked so instead of leaving it, I peeled it a bit more and made it worse. Frantically looked for phone places that were open online. There was one in town so I went there but it was packed like the tube trains we saw a couple weeks ago. The only other place that fixed it? McDonald's. So went there, got it fixed and got myself some food as well. Oh and I had no shoes on. Obviously.

  22. This is madness, we are at worst going to finish in the play-offs I think. We've won 12 of our 18 away games. So many instances of keeping the game tight and pinching it late too. We're becoming exactly the kind of bastards I hoped we would. Cadiz away is the penultimate game too. That could be enormous and you know what, I fancy us, we've just won at Sporting Gijon. Barcelona B are a midtable La Liga team, arguably even better, it's beyond stupid how good they are, how in gods name did they drop into the third tier? We've actually got a really n

  24. Hi All, I always used to make Concept kits but stopped a couple of years back. Seeing this Forum made me want to dig out the old templates again and have a play. Spent a bit of time creating this Concept Kit having a play around with colours that seem to be popular within the Forum and also implementing the subtle Thai colours. Just a bit of fun, I don't expect to see it in the club shop! What do people think? I look forward to making more unless this gets slated in which case I shall just slither back in to my cave. Thanks & Sta

  26. I do think there is a decent player there, somewhere. In a side that requires a bit less from him, he might begin to find some form. He has had enough time with us now though and it’s just not working out.

  30. I wont bash all americans (try not to but may lol) as it's not their fault but how can so many republicans back a morally corrupt w@nker like Trump is beyond me. I know politicians are another breed but my goodness! Much more respected people you could choose from and yet here we still are and will be for another 4 years. Not like touchy kissy Biden or the others are much better...but FFS the guy is unhinged and a complete bell. So many moronic politicians out there these days on both sides. Wake up America, you're the land of jokes on both sides.

  32. Well if you want to clutch at the smallest of straws. The actual number of new infections fell by a very small number from the day before but the actual number of people tested was 3000 higher than the same day last week. However, first time 2 consecutive days have seen over 5500 new infections. PPE still not in the right place and a mere 79000 more tests to do each day to hit the 100k target there is a lot of work to do. Not helped by the police themselves flooding out to clap the NHS workers and allowing crowds to build up. Still I expect we'll get to see the usual bloody grap

  37. Just got to say, I like Whitty and Vallance's explanations a lot on the daily briefings. Both are very clear and methodical about the data and general scientific consensus I think. I'm sure Whitty along with many other scientists at the top of the coronavirus response are already pencilled in to get knighthoods when this is all over (Vallance already has one). But I think as public faces they are both really good - the press conferences never feel as informative when they have other scientists there I don't think.,

  39. If we wait 18 months before resuming there won’t be anything left to resume because clubs will go to the wall. Best hope for football is the inevitable societal shift away from ‘defeating’ the virus to accepting we have to live with it until a vaccine is found.

  40. I've said this before, Pearson didn't free his game up like Ranieri did and laid the foundations for him to be one of the best strikers in Europe. That said, Vardy tended to take a season to acclimatise at both Championship and then Prem level so Pearson may have managed to get him scoring regularly in the Prem and he did sign Okazaki before being sacked.

  43. So under this idea, we'd get CL (assuming it goes ahead). And Sheffield United get to play a cup final against Villa where, if they win, SU get champions league instead of Manure and Villa get relegated. I'm in.
