  1. Only listened to the last 40 minutes, from his QPR-Leicester move to the end, but that was an outstanding interview. Usually, even if footballers aren't inarticulate or spouting bland cliches, they have a careful eye on not upsetting their current club, fans, teammates or whoever. That felt like one of the most genuine interviews I've ever heard with a footballer. I've always liked Simmo for what he did on the pitch but he's really gone up in my estimation on a personal level there. Some real honesty there that doesn't fit any "I was eager to go to Leicester" or "I

  3. I have raised this a number of times, he consistently posts the best stats for distance covered. I think he just doesn't have that quick turn of pace but makes up for it with a sharp footballing brain. There are times when he seems to get caught out but there are just as many times when he has already read a pattern of play and opens up a team like a tin of fcukin beans before they even know what's hit them.

  10. I (and about 99% of the OHL fans) think it's the right decision. We start prepering for the 2nd leg of the final and the new season on Monday 15th, so the timing makes sense. We (the fans) expect the new manager within a few days. When Euvard and Vercauteren took over, we had the perfect situation. A young, energetic guy who could work alongside a very experienced manager and learn the ropes. When Vercauteren left we were stuck with an inexperienced manager who simply wasn't ready to manage a team at this level. Apperently the board and King Power wanted to hire an experienced mana

  12. I would argue that the word "power" is wrong. The strength of togetherness in the dressing room was/is a real positive. Brendan has harnessed it and it's working. Sadly that's one thing his predecessor he got wrong.

  15. If JJ doesn't get the nod, what a kick in the teeth for him. Talk about man management and the art of getting players to buy in to things when they aren't first choice and then just as the opportunity they have patiently waited for presents itself and you are ignored instead for someone to play out of position. He was sensational against Villa, these next 9-10 games are the perfect audition to see if he's ready to replace Ricardo or Chilwell when they invariably move on.

  17. Maybe they should knock down the pyramids then, after all they were built using African slaves. Then we could get rid of Trafalgar square as it is a symbol of British power through the 18th and 19th centuries and Nelson was a defender of slavery. What about the Colosseum, built by 60000 Jewish slaves and were then fed to the lions and gladiators. Or how about we don't try to hide our history and leave the statues and memorials where they are and use them in an educational sense and then let people decide what that statue represents. In 2000 years time, when some archaeologist drags that statu

  19. I don't think it's that ridiculous to be honest. It's a big thing as a first time buyer. I am possibly being a bit defensive here as I think I viewed the first place I bought three times...!! First time was on my own, second time I took an older friend for a second opinion, third time I had committed to buy and just wanted another look to visualise the space ahead of ordering furniture as I literally didn't have anything of my own furniture wise.

  20. One add-on point..... Claudio's change of mind over Simmo is further confirmation of how Claudio's lack of ego and willingness to reconsider benefited us. I always thought that was a big thing. So many new managers would feel that they had to make major changes, bring in new players or whatever so as to stamp their authority on their new club, indulge their ego (or possibly compensate for its fragility). Claudio was happy to keep and use most of the players he'd inherited from NP - and new signings acquired by Walsh/NP (Fuchs, Okazaki) or even to go with pla

  21. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11661/11996016/premier-league-running-stats-this-season-revealed It's odd because Youri has a physical build where it seems like he's a bit chubby and is neither the fastest nor able to run for that long a time. But he's actually our hardest working midfielder in terms of distance run in a single game and per every game! So looks can most definitely be deceiving!

  23. The only possible reason for it is mental and physical fatigue. He's played pretty much non stop since he burst on the scene at Anderlecht when he was 16-17. Even during his supposed poor spell at Monaco he was a regular and he instantly came to us and found the PL a doddle. He then went away with Belgium and played more football whilst spending the rest of the time mulling over where his future might be. I must admit I am surprised he has struggled this season by his standards and it would be naïve to think his fitness hasn't been brought in to question, that's why a 3 month lay off ought to

It's about a combination of things rather than Lewis Hamilton talking bollocks, it's got nothing to do with Tory Brexiteers (I have no idea where that's come from) 2 of the lads I know who are taking a break from social media have no interest in politics nor Brexit, they're just fed up of the constantly negativity which drains on your mental health after seeing and hearing about it everyday, which is what I meant in my original post. I wrote the 3 things seperately because I thought they were 3 seperate issues, country is arguing amongst itself in the middle of a pandemic, with clashes being e

  33. I’ve been thinking about this today. The more you look at it statues of individuals responsible for the British Empire is not in keeping with modern day society. Removal of these statues would be an acceptance and accountability for the fact our country contribution to world wide ethnic assaults. Slavery should never be celebrated, we have this very British way of being overly jovial about such figures, when they’re rubbing shoulders with the likes of Hitler. It’s time we changed our tune, subtle memorials acting as a reminder of the tyranny the British Empire were responsible for is important

  34. My honest feeling is that as time goes by the anger will naturally fade. It really does depend on what happens with our chairman. We are currently being charged with misconduct for FFP/P&S, selling our own stadium to our own chairman and it looks like the EFL are suggesting we also tried to put the sale of it in last years accounts instead of the current ones in order to get round Profit and Sustainability etc Since coming to our club Chansiri has basically sank a significant amount of his own money into the club. All the sponsors of our club have been our chairman. His name is

Our title winning team was by and large British, and even players like Mahrez had been at the club for a while to adjust and acclimatize. Imagine if we had signed Troy Deeney over Slimani as an example... whilst I don't either is a particularly stand-out player, Deeney would have fit our team like a glove. Anyway the good news is that we learnt our lessons quickly. If you look at some of the o
