  1. After we secured Top 5 yesterday, I think it’s fitting to remember this quote from Khun Vichai: “I am asking for three years, and we'll be there. We won't take the huge leap to challenge the league's top five clubs immediately. Do we have a chance to beat them? Yes, we have, but I think we need to establish our foothold in the league first and then we think about our next step.” We forget (well, I do) sometimes that the Thai ownership has transformed this club. Today we sit 5th in the best league in the world and it’s the second time we have broken

  2. That's the problem with modern football, everything is about money. I don't know when the 'big 6' armchair fan bollocks about not wanting to be in the Europa League started, but I'm not having it- there are plenty of serious away days in there and that's what it's always primarily about as a football fan. If that's where we end up, so be it- hopefully we get to travel because it would be an amazing experience and we would have an excellent chance of seeing European knockout football after Christmas again.

  3. wtf did chilwell do to leicester fans, he is clearly one of best left backs in the league and an academy kid why is there a vendetta against him, we all knew he was meant to be class coming through the academy i dont understand what he has done, sometimes he plays the wrong ball? leicester fans are so bonkers about him

  4. Honestly amazed by some of the comments still. He came on against Palace and took it from a meh 1-0 to a comfortable 3-0.... then he disappears and we’re less creative and a bit shit for two games. Comes back tonight and yet again we’re creating chances left right and centre. Yes the misses are annoying but he’s added so much more in both of those games! As for the Nacho situation. Yes no idea what’s going on there, you have to assume something must have happened. Personally it’s Perez position he takes for me with Barnes in the hole.

  6. Top Six finishes by non-"big six" teams in the past decade. 2 Leicester (2016: 1st, 2020: ?) 2 Everton (2013: 6th, 2014: 5th) 1 Newcastle (2012: 5th) 1 Southampton (2016: 6th) Wolves or Sheffield United can join that list this season. Only once since 2005 has a non-"big six" team made the top four - us in 2016.

  11. If IF this man leads us to champions league qualification as his final act Leicester City captain, name the new stand after him. Imagine the list of achievements as captain if he does. It’s already great but that would be the icing on the top.

That inversion of roles carries with it a perverse charm, like a prolific actor making their directorial debut, or a superhero helping their long-suffering sidekick save the day instead. You can’t help but watch. It challenges perceptions and self-imposed boundaries. The very pr

  15. We are the only side probably since Everton in 04/05 to break into the top four and we could potentially do it twice in five years. I think expectations have gotten so high that we forget how far we have come in so little time. What Khun Vichai and Top have done for our club has been remarkable and it has transformed us into one of the best teams in the country. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/27387616 I remember reading that article when we got promoted from the championship thinking if we even do half of that, that would be something but not only have we done that

  16. Sadly I agree. I reckon BR was just out to justify his decision to drop Nachos at half time against Bournemouth by dropping Nachos so that he can continue to pretend he saw something to sub him against Bournemouth that none of us saw. 🤷‍♂️

  17. Won a Premier League game on every day of the week this season. Think I read Villa were the first team to do this in the competitions history recently, so this would make us the first decent team ever to do this Monday - Villa 4-0 (h) Tuesday - Watford 2-0 (h) Wednesday - Newcastle 3-0 (a) Thursday - Sheff Utd 2-0 (h) Friday Southampton 9-0 (lol, a) Saturday - Bournemouth 3-1 (h) Sunday - Crystal Palace 2-0 (h)

  18. Deserves his own thread after that first half display, composed and passes the ball so crisply. 4 chances created and an assist in your first 35 mins not bad for just turned 19 Fingers crossed he gains confidence from that first half performance.

  19. I never understand comments like this. For Nacho to bury those chances, he'd have to get into the position in the first place. The first chance Nacho wouldn't have the dynamism to burst past the defender, the 2nd chance he'd have to be sprinting from deep, no guarantee he'd get into a position where the chance is as good. Nacho is a much better finisher than Barnes, you'd be mad to have a different opinion, however, i doubt we'd have been running Sheff Utd into the ground as much as we did without the Barnes, Vardy, Perez trio yesterday, they all put massive shifts in a

  22. Really want this lad to succeed but his composure and decision making in the final third is abysmal at times. Definitely needs to spend some serious time staying after training practicing his finishing if he wants to get to the next level.

  23. Another thing that might help is that VAR don't have any access to the live feed, and only get referred to the incidents and replays without knowing what the ref has given. That way they can't just agree with the on-field decision, they have to give their decision blind which is then communicated to the ref.

  35. The academy really is starting to produce and become a real asset to the club. 4 players in the squad who have made first team, premier league appearances. That in today’s market is very possibly £100 million plus saved in transfer fees. It’s one game for Thomas and he did really well. The next two are going to be an absolute baptism of fire. Going up against Rashford, Son, Greenwood etc. Is a big test. Please, please, don’t jump on him if his next two are not that impressive, he is 19 and has one game to his name.

  36. He's twenty two ,this is his first full season in the premier league and he has more assists than any other English midfielder not to mention six goals. He still has lots to improve on,but come on, what are we expecting? Id rather have a continuous improvement than a firecracker that quickly burns out!

  37. Also I would add that yesterday’s game is further proof that the problem for him from January to recently was not just a lack of supply. He looked sluggish, his touch was poor, the chances he was getting he wasn’t taking. None of that makes him a poor player, he was just in poor form. It happens. Vardy’s been through at least 4 prior prolonged spells of poor form since he’s been here and each time he’s bounced back.

  43. Fifth place and Europa League wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. It would feel like it for a while given how the season was going at one point but we shouldn't be slashing wrists at one of the best season finishes in our history. I think we'd feel worse if we hadn't tasted CL before but, fortunately, we did.
