  1. I think as the dust settles on a successful yet disappointing season I think it’s worth acknowledging this mans contribution. He’s not had an easy ride with us, he arrived with such high expectation and never really got the run of games needed and when he has played it was often in a role he wasn’t used to. After things going terribly and fans getting on his back it would have been reasonable for him to seek a move elsewhere. But he stayed professional when others simply wouldn’t, he got his head down and worked his socks off to improve behind the scenes.

  2. When Kelechi is either in the starting 11 or about to come on, I get excited as I think something will happen. In turn, I get frustrated every time he is taken off. That shows the impact for me at least that he has made this season. Still young, lots to develop but a key member of our squad.

How will you remember it? I think I’ll remember it with a lot of different feelings. As a team and as a Club we’ve shown amazing potential at times this season, but continu

  6. Found a better image of what the new white away kit is going to look like. This picture is of a knock off player version (not actually sure LCFC will genuinely release one of these) the fans version will have gold stripes all the way to the hem and have a straight hem. Very Real Madridesque!! But also very nice in my opinion

  9. Not sure if this has been mentioned before - but just reading an article in the Athletic and apparently JJ’s dad passed away in April. Can’t give the lad enough credit for the way he played and pushed through in what must have been such a difficult time.

  10. In which case it does....the longer the contract the more money we'll be able to ask for. Being a selling club works for Dortmund quite well.....

  11. If they wallow in disappointment or look to blame injuries/var/luck or whatever then they'll be destined to carry on in this shite form. We need to go into the pre-season with a blank slate. Give players a chance to prove themselves. Lick our wounds and get the squad back together. If we go into preseason with the post-Deeney Day mindset of "that's not ****ing happening again" then we'll be fine. I am sure of it.

  12. Whilst probably not answering the question. Watching our ressies breeze past West Ham in the Soulless Dome whilst in a haze of Christmas merriment was probably my favourite left field moment of the season

  15. Am I the only one who doesn't want to go back to games under these circumstances? I've been a season ticket holder for 18 years and I very rarely miss a home game (generally less than 1 per season). But football is going to be very different when we first go back. I'm working on the following assumptions: Attendance restricted to ~25% No away fans No gathering in concourses Socially distanced seating No guarantee that you will get tickets to the same games as your friends/family No singing/shouting (no-one has mentioned this yet but both of these are known

  17. They were very different times back in the day. I was 19 when I bought my first house in Whetstone. Brand new 3-bed place with garage and garden, middle one of three, bottom of a quiet, tree-lined cul de sac - cost £45k !! Was earning about £11-12k a year at Radio Leicester and got a mortgage for £42,500. Best financial decision I ever made, even though I didn't realise at the time. In fact I didn't realise for over a decade when I looked at selling and prices had gone up hugely. Was very, very lucky to make that call when I did. Tough times for the young 'un

  18. I've got to be honest, I think bottom half. This is obviously open to change but it pretty much entirely hinges on us recruiting well at this point. We're on a slide and have been for a long time. Our second half of the season form would have us I think 12th, and that's with there being very little between 12th and 17th. We have been only marginally better than teams like West Ham & Aston Villa in this half of the season. I do think the way you finish a season is more important than it's given credit for. Don't forget how well we finished in 2014/15 and

  19. I tell you what is doing my head in, it's not so much that we aren't going to be in the Champions League next season but that our capitulation just feeds this horrendous bias from the media and pundits about the supposed big 6. Most of these clueless fools didn't learn from what we did in 2015/16 where they all thought we'd fall apart and we didn't, sadly we did nose dive this year and that will cement their narrow minded footballing beliefs about anything outside the big 6. We are the one club that have and could again break the cartel and it hurts that we haven't do

  20. Did you not see Lee Dixon dumbfounded criticism at Rodgers after the Man City game where Chilwell was left exposed to wave after wave of De brunye and Mahrez attacking and Rodgers did nothing, and the same happened with the Liverpool game. Brendan has been guilty of not seeming to react when there's danger, or reacting when it's not necessary

  21. I hope they are disappointed and hurt, as we are. A big incentive for next season now to do better. This must make them more determined, hungry and mentally stronger. Not quite Deeney Day proportions but the club can build on this almost sense of injustice. As a fanbase, I've always felt we are better in adversity and this has most likely lifted us out of the cosy lethargy we seemed to have found ourselves. I can't wait to get back in the stadium.

  25. Perez was a mistake really, not that he’s a bad player but more the opportunity cost of spending £30m on a player that wasn’t going to have a transformative effect on the team. His signing is enough to dismiss the idea of “proven premier league players” for me, this is a player in his prime that’s played in England for 6 years and he’s scored 8 goals. @Dan LCFC has mentioned that his goals have all came when we’ve already been winning too (aside from Sheff Utd), so his goals haven’t been match winners or even equalisers. I’m not really buying the “he's out of position” argument eithe

  28. Yeah I really rate Barnes as well. As soon as he gets that composure in front of goal he'll be in the England team and I say that during the Sterling/Rashford/Sancho era.

  29. Barnes was 2 goals shy of meeting your criteria, he got the assists number for you bob on. Benrahma looks to have the mix of both being able to score and get in scoring positions himself and create chances for other, sadly he is a LW but i'd still get him in to compete with Barnes and get a RW in too.

  30. I think the weird and mind boggling substitutions Brendan made put the team out of kilter too when all we had to do was defend our lead resolutely after our superior first half performance. That one game ultimately cost us a Champions League and was all in vain too - as Bournemouth were relegated of course!

  32. Well going on this season, anyone thinking signing Sarr from Watford would be the answer, may be disappointed, Sarr scored 6 goals with 4 assists, while Perez scored 8 with 4 assists, and Barnes scored 7 with 8 assists, even Gray scored 3 with 5 assists, in alot less minutes on the pitch.

  37. we were married in a church. My wife was religous (not so much anymore) but I wasn't. When we went to meet the vicar I explained politely that I didn't believe in God or any of that stuff and he said "that's fine, I'm not going to refuse to marry you just because you don't believe in God" I replied "that's ok, I don't want to marry you anyway" There followed a long pause after which the vicar returned to writing his notes That was 15 years ago and my joke remains in the vicar's office, forever the un-laughed at joke....

  38. I wouldn't quite say fantastic, we were ok, you have to bear in mind Bournemouth were at that point tragic, hadn't won in months. We should have put them to the sword. The irony is if we had beat we would have been in the Champions League.

  42. well I guess recognising the value of the money and how shit you'll feel if you hand it over to a bookie is the first step towards preventing it happening. Is there someone who could "look after" the money for you, to resist temptation? Or set up a savings account where you don't have instant access? My bank account allows you to have "pots" which you can "lock". I saved some in there and locked it just in case I was tempted to waste it on stupid purchases. I can still get the money in 24 hours if I need it, but it is usually a sufficien deterrent to avoid impulse decisions!

  44. A heads up for you all who may be regular Fosse Park customers. Over the last month I became a victim of a clever scam while out shopping. Simply going out to get supplies has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you. Here's how the scam works: Two seriously good-looking blonde ladies come over to your car as you are packing your shopping away. They both start cleaning your windscreen, with their breasts almost falling out of their skimpy T-shirts. It is impossible not to look. When you thank the
