  2. Good luck to the lad. Every one of us would have made that jump from a career/security perspective. Wish him nothing but good luck.

  3. Course he will. The first five letters of his name are literally 'Ben Ch'

  4. Our fans questioning what the club do with Jamie Vardy yet again? Haven't we fcukin learnt? He could and should be given 100 bags a week until he's about 80 for all he's done here and it still wouldn't be enough. He is Leicester, he is everything. Once he's retired, give him the managers job, let him do what he wants.

  9. Just a shame Man United never came in last minute with a £110million bid.

  10. I do wonder where some of our fans will draw the line. They've been brainwashed by free hats, scarves and beer and now believe that the club can do no wrong. I'd actually be more comfortable with honest ticket price rises rather than adding sly little costs such as admin fees and this £70 "financial commitment" from season ticket holders. I knew the skewed costs in football was just part of the game but it does grate on me when I see the bootlicking fans arguing that the club "needs" our money when Maddison is signing a new deal worth £100k a week and was probably racking up £60,0

  12. A little bit sad reading this, i knew he would be going but actually seeing the deal done twangs on the old heartstrings. Hate losing a player, especially one who has been with us for so long and improved year on year. All the best Ben for the future.

  13. Noticed these on LinkedIn this morning. A company called Toppesfield has been doing the asphalt surfacing on the job, and the Contracts Manager had posted these.

  14. Time to convince this lad to sign a new deal and involve him with the first team. One of him or KDH will be in or around the first team this season and the other allowed to go on loan. Pleased to see Rodgers single him out for praise, we cannot let him leave like we have done with Gyamfi. Looks a really talented player does Tavares.

  17. Although not a lot to go on, Benkovic looks very comfortable and seems to fit our style of play really well. Quite like him to have a chance at Leicester this season rather than being loaned out.

  18. Just seen Maddison’s Instagram video and now I have no interest in supporting this football team anymore

  19. He's had absolutely no competition for the spot with England in the last 18 months, in fact I'd have been damp right offended if he hadn't played. Chilwell hasn't progressed under Rodgers and he regressed after an initial improvement under Puel, he's nowhere proven his potential or warrant the money we have got but it's a gamble Chelsea are willing to take and they may get the better deal but i'd be amazed if so. The money we are getting is unbelievable for such a player.

  20. Imagine being an 18/19 year old striker playing for Birmingham looking for a nice ease into pre season and seeing you're up against Soyuncu who will take great pleasure in throwing you about for 90 minutes

  21. Ooof. Snap one of them up when they're selling cheap in 9 months time, never wear it and then whip it out in 20 years time.

  22. Unfortunately the government did a pretty good job of scaring that population to death. Couple that with an extended well paid holiday, so the workshy and lazy don't want the party to end, the media bask in sensationalised economic destruction and most of they population are ill informed at best and reluctant to discover any facts or what's actually happening. The populist government are swinging to public opinion, which basically boills down to which pressure group shout loudest in the name of safety. Teachers unions are doing a great job lately. 30. Well at least we won’t have Barnes and Chilwell arguing and snapping at each other anymore

  31. I’ve been pissed off about a lot of players leaving over the years, this isn’t one of them. He’s a decent player, but a solid left back and a quality purchase elsewhere in the squad and we can be better as a unit. If we are working on a reduced budget, the recruitment team need to nail it though.

  35. ****ing hell. Did you honestly just quote a Nazi member at the Neurenberg Trials to implicate the government is doing that now? That is pretty rancid stuff. And definitely should be a warning sign to yourself if anything you're in conspiracy theory territory. The fact you activy have to deny it kind of shows you even know that deep down... Or maybe... it is just a mask. And this isn't the government bringing about the end of civilisation and is just a government trying to protect people during a temporary period in a pandemic... I don't normally have a problem with any

  41. Speaking to the people who defended this, I'd be genuinely interested to know: - What you'd happily pay up front with no guarantee of any football this season. - What the club would need to do for you to actively speak out against them.

  42. I’m fully aware that any form of criticism of the club on this forum, automatically makes you into a pariah, but is nobody concerned that frankly we were utterly awful for the second half of last season and we haven’t strengthened the squad at all? And as you say, Madders is out, as is Ricardo

  45. If this we don't have a vaccine that works and there's no long lasting immunity, are people happy to just live this limited life for the rest of their lives? The same people have been saying "it's just a couple of months, stop being selfish". I wonder at what point different people will hit the limit. How is there no long term plan a, b, c yet? It seems like everything is still reactive. What if there's no progress by next summer? Do we continue to live like this forever? I hate not knowing what the long term plan is.
