  1. And Lo, He cuppeth His ears in derision of The Baggies, for He smiteth greatly and repeatedly the Western Kingdom of Bromwich Albion. Amen. Let us cup our ears in prayer....

  3. Listening to Kasper Effing and jeffing all game was a joy to behold tonight. Non stop shouting, encouraging and moaning at the ref. I know he has his faults but for me he's worth his weight in gold to us as a leader of men. He'll leave a huge void and big gloves to fill when he eventually leaves . Long live our Viking warrior.

  4. They're getting experience now which is great. Luke Thomas has come out of nowhere and made 9 apps so far - he won't even be 20 by the time of the final. James Justin, age 22, has made 29 apps (26 starts) in under 12 months. If it wasn't for injuries, Thomas probably wouldn't have made his debut by now and Justin would have made a handful of apps. With a fully fit squad, neither player is a regular starter, Thomas not even on the bench. What we've seen is that they can come in a 'do a job' now and again - likewise squad players such as Albrighton, Fuchs and Perez.

  5. Following some suggestions in the other threads... Its time we created a new religion. A religion for us all, with someone we can believe in, someone who brings joy and goodness to our lives, and smites our opponents. So...Guys Gals and Nonbinary pals... may i present to you... "The First Church of Vardy" Lets begin with the ten commandments... 1) Chat sh!t, Get Banged 2)

  6. And, following the divine no-look pass of the good Christian (Fuchs) our LORD performed an eleventh successive miracle whilst in battle with the Uniteds of Manchester. It was eleven. It was heaven. And there was great acclamation from the multitude. Amen.

  10. Can't believe there have been no posts in here after last night's performance, completely changed our fortunes. Its like he has 5 more seconds on the ball, compared to anybody else and is really starting to dictate play. Him and Maddison showed last night that they are a class above.

  13. Some of the material packed into this thread is outstanding. It's definitely won Friday 27th November. It's basically inspired me to take an annual pilgrimage on May 2nd, walking bare foot from Stocksbridge to the King Power with a Jagerbomb break every 9 miles.

Give us this day our daily red bull; and forgive us our chants of partying and narcotics as we berate those who speak ill of you and slander against us; and lead us into jubilation, but deliver us glory.....

  17. I don't think to criticise something you need to have a better alternative. However, I think here there would be a myriad of different responses but the key differences with what the government has done with all of them would be: - Clear messages to the population to avoid confusion, and no mixed messages - A spelled out end game for any new restrictions and rules (what the rules aim for and how it will achieve it) - Evidence that a proper cost-benefit analysis has been done and decisions aren't being made based on media hype - A unified approach which doesn'

  20. Find this view baffling given kasper has kept us in both the last games. People moaning about his distribution need to realise we had an entire midfield avoiding the ball which didn't help.

  29. Probably the least hyped youngster we've had come through and make 5-10 appearances, quite unusual. Barely any social media accounts like Rising Ballers etc picking up on him either, hopefully that further adds to his solid and unassuming development. Seems the sort of player that will be ignored and then everyone on the outside will wonder where he came from and how he's suddenly so good. Consider the hype around Chilwell at the same age and Thomas is already providing goals and assists and it's a great start for him.

  31. He learnt it from the best, his dad. At united Roy Keane didn't like Peter because Peter spent his matches swearing at players. Roy unsurprisingly rubbed Peter up the wrong way too. Anyway 4am in a hotel in Hong Kong Peter tells Roy he's sick of him. And they should sort it out right there. Roy obviously agrees. Peter keeps his sunglasses on all fight. Next morning Roy somehow forgets the entire fight except for his bruises. Peter continues swearing at everyone. Kasper learnt from the best.

  33. From a Tanner piece on Youri in the Athletic today: Of all the midfielders in the Premier League this season, he is in the top five for passes attempted, successful passes, passes into the final third, interceptions, recoveries and possession won in the final third.

  34. The other thing with Kasper, as we heard last night, is he’s a f@@@@@g leader. Think his general professionalism, willingness to win and attitude are all pretty important in the dressing room and that would be difficult to replace, especially without Big Wes and Fuchs. I’ll forgive him a few dodgy kicks if he’s setting the tone in a fairly young dressing room with his 10 years of experience at the club.

  35. You don't need to be rapid if you can beat the opposition with excellent passing and crossing and that is something Thomas seems like he's going to be able to do. He isn't slow anyway, just needs that game intelligence and strength and movement to open up the space for him, something Fuchs does excellently.

  37. I feel like I'm getting that way, tbh. There doesn't appear to be any kind of joined-up thinking to the measures the govt are adopting, and that's been the case from day 1. It's not a coincidence that we have had more deaths than anywhere in Europe while simultaneously seeing more economic damage than anywhere bar Spain. Johnson is trying to be all things to all people. A country needs a strong, competent leader in a time of national crisis, but unfortunately we have a weak-willed, incompetent buffoon at the helm.
