  4. Another decent striker and to grow a back bone. I said it in a group chat I'm in after the game v Brighton Sunday. We will win tomorrow night. Liverpool vs Tottenham will draw and it'll be first v second going into Sunday. Sky hype the game up and we get brought down a peg or two yet again and have our arse handed to us.

  5. none. We are 1 point off top after 12 games with a very injury hit squad. Having already gone to man city and Liverpool away. Although I dont think we will win the league we surely have to at least consider ourselves contenders until we fall away?

  6. Rodgers is definitely a good coach and a right fit for us but I just can't wrap my head around the 15 point bottle job last season. If we threw away a 5 point lead, fair enough, it happens, but this was a bigger choje job than Keegan's Newcastle. This season to be third and top of our EL group is excellent. As for Puel, people forget when he took over we were 17th playing horrible hoof ball with an aging team. Rodgers took over a team that had Tielemans, Maddison and Ricardo. The transformation will never be credited to Puel by a certain segment on here who hated him

  7. It bothers me greatly that being sceptical of every single piece of expert advice is now considered open mindedness by large swathes of people. I call it wilful ignorance. We won't get any further as a civilisation until we undo the notion that having access to the internet and Linda from down the road's Facebook feed makes you just as much an authority on a subject as a person who's dedicated years to studying it. Have some humility and accept that some people are more clued up than you.

  10. Where as I’ve read into it he could be struggling with his mental health and knee jerk reactions like deleting all insta posts when he’s feeling crap are a coping mechanism! Part of our title winning side, hasn’t reached his potential, best thing for him to go and get regular football elsewhere. Good luck to him, certainly won’t be getting boos or chants of leicester reject from me.

  16. **** me how lucky were we to be top of both leagues with that liability in the middle of the park. Do you not ever sit back and think, oooh hang on a minute perhaps I've got a blind spot here, pretty much all the fans agree that he's done well this season, the pundits mostly pick him out as being a surprise bonus, the manager has been please with him. This just stinks of someone who make some stupid ****ing comment about a player a long time ago and just can't bring himself to admit he got it wrong. You've now gone into Trump denial territory and try and make e

Running it on Custom High with ray tracing off, chromatic aberration off, lens flare off, cascaded shadows at medium and pretty much everything else high. I'm rocking a folid 60fps almost everywhere, including busy city streets. I'm up to 27.4hrs which have absolutely just flown by, it's engaging, it's fun. I'm playing on Hard (which was the default difficulty) and it's enough of a challenge that combat isn't boring without also being particularly stressful. The

Little or no real challenge to the Government which has made some shocking decision unless it is to demand more restrictions. Barely a question on whether lockdown works, barely a word from those who think the cost of lockdown is worse than the risk it is trying to offset. "Save the NHS" has become more important that saving lives. It has gone too far. The other problem is that the experts are limited. If you asks an epidemiologist how to stop Covid killing lots of people the will tell y

  19. The problem with Arsenal is that the good in them, only lasts for so long before they turn to shit again. Happened under Emery, now happening under Arteta. Arteta has clearly made mistakes, keeping faith in players that clearly aren’t good enough, omitting your creative player from the team in Ozil. They have zero creativity and it continues to show every week, a midfield pairing of Elneny and Xhaka won’t get you anywhere. Some of their players though were shit under Wenger, shit under Emery and are shit under Arteta, Arsenal won’t progress unless some of th

  20. The long and short of this is that it really depends which Everton and which Leicester turn up. Both have had spells of being absolutely excellent, fluent and irresistible and both have had spells of being turgid, disjointed and short on ideas; often in the same game! Two sides that are very rarely mediocre.

  22. Sorry, but what more evidence do you need? The exact thing you’re asking for (scientific proof) has been provided, peer-reviewed by world-leading experts as being not just moderately effective but highly effective. But you’re saying that’s not only not enough, but that there’s “no evidence”. Does God himself need to speak to you from a burning bush to confirm it? Sorry I sound exasperated, but that comment is exasperating.

  23. I don't think you have anything to worry about. First of all, it is highly unlikely that our owner would spend the money to pay out Rodgers' contract. We'd probably rather get Vic Akers in, since he is available for free...Secondly, as many of you have pointed out, turning around Arsenal is a big and thankless job right now. The pressure would be on from day one. The squad is unbalanced, and quite frankly, not good enough. There are limited funds to fix the squad. Much easier for Rodgers to do well with you, then jump at an opportunity that is less of a risk.

  24. Sadly I don’t think any club capitulated as badly as we did! Anyway I don’t necessarily think it was the worst thing that could happen. Our current team has zero chance to win the Champions League but has a shot at the Europa. Players like Thomas, Justin, Fofana aren’t ready for that competition yet, but Europa is brilliant for their development. It would be great to get to the Champions League next season but as it’s panned out think it’s good for our squad development.

  25. Just referencing the COVID thread. One’s been able to pretend to be Santa Claus and the other has had to be Scrooge so it obviously makes sense but the fact that Sunak is going to come out of the pandemic hugely popular and Hancock the opposite, when in terms of competence and what reports say about their respective positions throughout, Hancock is ahead. Don’t wish to defend Hancock massively, think he gets too much flak but never mind. I guess it’s more bemusement at how the regular Sunak shitshow goes unnoticed in comparison

Manchester United are three transfers short of being genuine title contenders https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/premier-league/manchester-united-are-three-transfers-short-of-being-genuine-title-contenders/ar-BB1bWH2V To be honest, so are half of the prem - but you'd really expect better from a team that has spent the best part of a Billion Pounds in the past few years. B*gger me - a billion pounds. Someone find me an agent.

  36. I can only go on what people inside the club - players, coaches, staff etc - all said independently of each other. Recently mentioned the Andy King article in The Times to a player and said: "That was a two-footed attack." and the reply was: "Two footed? It wasn't even the half of it." I respect your views and we're going over old ground but I feel sometimes Puel gets more credit than he actually deserves re the transition stuff.

  38. I work with a fair amount of people in football and I've never heard anyone describe him as anything like that. We were 14th when he took over, we'd just beaten Swansea with Appleton in charge. And we were 12th when he was sacked. Rodgers may have taken over a team with Tielemans, Maddison and Ricardo in, but he also had to pick up a dressing room which had morale at an all time low, unmotivated players desperately unhappy, looking to jump ship, bruised by a stubborn, boring manager turned the place into a toxic mess and wanted legends like Vardy and Kasper out. But ye

  42. After extending his contract, Arsenal would have to pay something like 20m to break Rodgers from his current deal. Arsenal can't afford that yet alone be mad enough to do it. Last season's flirtation with him made us shore Rodgers up and we've now done so. Brendan is probably here for at least another two seasons unless he's sacked, at which point perhaps he takes over at Man City or maybe even having another go at Liverpool! Chelsea would also be a logical step for him, and they don't often keep managers around for long though Lampard could be the one that changes that.

  45. I've seen Brendan Rodgers make more changes to his footballing beliefs this season than in his previous 10+ years as a manager put together: - Set up a team to concede possession and hit opponents on the break, and ended up winning 5-2 away from home. - Switched a formation after 15 minutes. (Maybe he's done this before, but not at Leicester). - Changed set piece routine massively to try something new after weeks of not clearing the first man. I find it refreshing to see and bodes well for us. Obviously he's made plenty of mistakes too, but we have massively outperfo
