  1. Why does every other football forum look like something from late 90s? Just makes you appreciate how good Foxestalk is. X

  2. Realistically speaking, the 'Rodgers era' has been an unmitigated success. We have established ourselves not only as a legit top half side but a top 6 side too. Teams fear 'coming to Leicester'. When has that ever been the case in our history in the top flight? We seem to focus a lot on the negatives but most of the clubs in this league aspire to be like us. And what's more, we do things the right way both in and off the pitch. Great times at LCFC and hope they continue for as long as possible.

  4. And this is exactly why Brendan deserves far more credit. What we've done compared to the squads the likes of United, Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs have is incredible and to be in the mix again is something we have to give Brendan more credit for. Last season we fell short due to squad depth but Brendan has altered his style to get the most out of the fringe players when we had injuries and now we have those players back we can really push on and hopefully get top 4. We have a few world class players but loads of very good players whereas take United for example and I'd say they've go

  8. Probably best suited for the 'unpopular opinions' topic in Gen Chat but: I'm not 100% sure I want us to be considered an 'elite club' - I like being the underdog who does successful things. Look at how entitled some of our fans have got already, if we get 'too big' they'll be off the scale!

  9. Mike Dean was awful today. Hard to believe it's the same ref from Villa vs Wolves the other week, when his whistle was going every 20 seconds and the yellow card barely spent any time in his pocket as he was giving them to everyone. Today, United were allowed to hack us down after the ball had gone repeatedly, and he just waved it away. The Rashford shot that was saved by Kasper starts with an obvious foul by Scott McTominay, he just grabs Youri and hurls him out the way and Dean wave it on as if he's reffing a rugby game. Fernandes lives a charmed life as well, seems to constantly be fouling,

  11. Absolute legend for us. I honestly can't believe some of the stick he gets on here. For me he is in the top 10 players ever to play for us. His performances and influence on the team during his time here have been phenomenal. There isn't that much for us to thank Sven for but Kasper is one thing we should be eternally grateful for.

  13. That midfield trio has produced the best football I've ever seen City play. Cant think of a better 3 other than Liverpool & MCFC. Possibly Chelsea with Kante, Kovacic & Mount. Many like to dig out Ayoze Perez but he is much more technically savvy than Albrighton. Get Perez back in. Get Ricardo & Soyuncu fit again. And we are in business once again. I still doubt this ream's mental fragility but they can pass teams off the field and completely outplay them.

As the song over the training ground reveal video said: Come writers and critics Who prophesize with your pen And keep your eyes wide The chance won't come again And don't speak too soon For the wheel's still in spin And there's no tellin' who That it's namin' For the loser now Will be later to win For the times they are a-changin' Come senators, congressmen Please heed the call Don't stand in the doorway Don't block up the hall For he that gets hurt Will be he who has stalled The battle outside ragin' Will soon shake your windows And rattle your walls

  19. Imagine how boring it must be to support a "big" club? Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool fans are so used to trophies they see it as some sort of birth right. Man City and Chelsea bought their way into the system and consistently break the rules to maintain their paid-for status. Spurs are just sort of 'there' and Everton haven't won anything in 25 years. Celtic are winning everything because they have literally had no opposition for almost a decade. And look how they behave when things don't go their way. We know our 'place'. The media and authorities remind us of it constantly. The

  20. I think we're doing very well considering the circumstances around lack of pre-season, injuries to key players, cramped schedule and European participation (which is a big plus in itself). I'm sure targets were to be competitive for Europe in the league, and qualify for knockouts in EL which we did pretty easily. Some of the fringe players have shown their worth and I think Rodgers and staff have done fantastically all things considered. We've picked up some huge results and barring a few surprises and upsets (mainly at home), I don't think there can be that many serious complaint

  22. As soon as you're a 'big club' then you can't really also be the 'underdog' or maintain an 'underdog mentality'. As LCFC fans; would we even be comfortable with that change? We're the plucky foxes, pinching food from the table of the big 6. I don't really want to join them; I just want them not to be able to fully enjoy their own meal.

  26. I'm not arsed what SKY or the press think. Whether we're BIG or not doesn't bother me, we are what we are and should be proud of our provincial status. I look at the likes of Ajax, Dortmund and Sevilla, all of whom are traditionally more successful than us but operate with similar models - developing and signing young players with potential that can be sold on for big profits and then reinvesting the big transfer fees so that they remain competitive. We already offer something the bigger clubs can't - incredible facilities, a progressive culture and an opportunity in t

  28. Good contribution when he came on, definitely has something to offer, can be knocked off the ball easy but offers a lot going forward, excellent cross for the second equaliser. Gets a lot of stick on here but I like him, reckon we could see more of him over the next couple of games.

  30. For every ‘howler’ Kasper commits he makes on ratio probably 20 match winning reactionary saves. Underrated by too many. I’m not sure I’d trade him this season for the form of any other keeper in the PL.

  31. Being a big club in the eyes of the media and pundits is influenced by two things: 1) How good were you when the football writers were kids? 2) How good were you when the pundits were playing? Football writers now who are in their 50s (as most of the senior ones at the biggest papers are), for example, will have seen Liverpool as the dominant side when they first fell in love with football in the 80s and Leicester City as a fairly insignificant club. So even when Liverpool were pretty average they were still talked about in the media as a huge club. Similarly, they

  38. Mate, I know more about wingers and flair players than you've had hot dinners. I'll let this slide but do it again and you'll have a BFG type character come and blow a dream in your sleep where you're trapped in a never ending cycle of a narrow boating holiday with Josh Low and Momo Sylla. I like Ünder, I hope he can adapt here. He has now gone a few seasons without regular football and bringing end product, and at this level trying to challenge for the top 4 in the best league in the world he has to deliver. Perez has barely had a sniff this season because his numbers weren't good

  43. It played into our hands a treat during 15/16. Almost before every match the oppo fans were confident of winning as they were only playing Leicester (and they were much bigger). We were underestimated for the most part of the season and then it was too late. As annoying as it is that 'experts' and some fans look down on us, I'm quite comfortable that we still have our identity and don't attract the fashion fans that have no idea. I get the feeling that recognition of our status as an elite club is increasing but at the same time almost viewed that we are merely passin

  45. Ndidi and Tielemans is a genuinely elite level midfield, on par with almost anything in the league. Maybe Fabinho and Henderson could edge them but Rodri and Gundogan? Hojberg and Sissoko? McTominay and Fred? Kante and Kovacic? They could walk into most midfields in the world I’d suggest. Tielemans is the player England are crying out for, imagine a conductor like him behind the attacking talents we have, would massively increase our chances in tournaments I reckon.

  46. I thought the Palace away fixture last season was one of our most professional and thorough performances of 19-20, and we cranked out a 2-0 win. Exactly the same again required on Monday. This game, and the Newcastle fixture, give us a fantastic opportunity to build on a great haul of 4 points from Spurs and Man Utd. Hopefully we kick on well.
