  1. Just chatted with Ndidi (I'm Nigerian and he happens to be from my hometown back in Nigeria) on my whatsapp, the lad loves it here so much at Leicester guys.

  3. That's a myth really Obviously losing isn't a good thing, but you only get 1 point for a draw. Liverpool - assuming they win their next game - will still be a point below us after 19 games played, and they've only lost twice till now. You could go an entire season unbeaten and only end up with 38 points

  4. Its been pointed out a few times here so I'm wasting my breath but just to reiterate; Adrian Durham and all the others who want people to listen and to phone in, REGULARLY flip flop on opinions and adopt ridiculous/controversial views to get people to ring up and get wound up and then they can cut them off mid sentence. None of it is real. Don't worry about it. Seriously, I'm trying to help you all. If you can't help but get wound up, then don't listen to Talksport, its not good for people like you!

  5. There are plenty of "biggish" clubs who go down with players who are "too good for League One" but fanny about there for several years - Leeds, Forest, Ipswich, Sunderland etc. Let's never downplay that season - Pearson got them by the scruff and set us on a fantastic journey.

  6. The thing that needs to be looked at is advantage gained. Does Rodri gain an advantage from being in an offside position? Yes - goal shouldn’t count. Compare this to goals which are ruled out for less than a mm of armpit hair where no resonance advantage is gained. Absolutely ridiculous

  7. How can you be lucky when they weren't penalties. It's not like we got away with anything.

  8. Favourite quote from the Football Daily podcast yesterday, "Leicester are top and Manchester City are favourites. I'm really enjoying this Liverpool vs Manchester United title race"

  9. READING TIME - 1 minute So, come on then, what's changed? I'm not talking about the on field performances, it's obvious the whole team has stepped up a gear and each individual's game can be anylysed to see where and how they've improved. I'm talking about the spirit and camaraderie on display last night. It's actually been there for a while, but last night amplified our togetherness the loudest last night. Smiles all round, from BR's pre-match chat, through to the warm up, the walk out, the game and after the final whistle. Maddison explained this spir

  10. In all my time and that’s a long time we’ve never had a stronger squad with such quality and depth.

  11. From The Shed End 14 minutes ago, pcmacca said: When was the last time Chillwell played an early ball forwards to a running on forward? He keeps playing back or square.

  12. What's hilarious is the number of Chelsea fans moaning about Vardy being offside for our 2nd goal, without realising you can't be offside from a goal kick

  14. Are you for real? So you’d prefer the usual bollocks? It was personal, insightful and interesting. He speaks so well and his understanding of the game and the togetherness of the squad all came through. Only LCFC fans could find summat to complain about after reaching the summit of the EPL and absolutely destroying one of the ‘rich 6’

  15. Vardy was a big cause of Maddisons goal . His run disrupted their defence and created the gap. No goal or assist but without him it doesnt happen. Even when not scoring he influences the game.

  16. What a job Pearson did though. That squad battered league one then finished in the championship play offs. Unreal.

  17. There’s a very strong argument for the best ref and the best lino we’ve had this season both being female.

  18. I agree. Puel did okay here. Not greatest but not terrible either. Had Rodgers taken over after Shakespeare he would also go through phases of awful results. People forget the team Puel inherited vs the team he left us with. Clearly Rodgers is a better manager but Puel had his value.

  19. "We'll do our business in the background. Let them talk about Liverpool, Manchester United and Spurs. We'll just keep doing what we're doing." Thank you James Maddison. This is the mentality the players are taking and the fan base should adopt exactly the same thinking.

  20. That was special. One of the most confident, convincing and - yes - comfortable wins against a ‘big’ side that I can remember. And with our star striker totally out of sorts. So many great individual performances today - and Maddison carried it on into his post-match interview - but for me the man who makes this team tick is Youri Tielemans. I don’t think there is a better all-round central midfielder in the league right now. His choice of pass is matched by its timing and precision. He’s our Xavi, our Toni Kroos. What a player he is!

  21. Regardless of the decisions I don't think that's a bad result for us, Villa will be about 6th-9th come the end of the season IMO, whereas I think Man City will comfortably be ahead of us. I will not allow myself to be carried away, 6th is still a fantastic season. Fulham getting something against United would be nice.

  22. If VAR was as all encompassing bent as some think it is in regard to ensuring we aren't anywhere near the title race then why did they overturn that penalty yesterday, not judge Vardy to have clipped Rudiger for Maddison's goal and rule out Werner's? One minute VAR is purely wanting Liverpool to win the league (last season) now it's Spurs early on, then Man Utd and now Man City? Come on, stop pulling pissers. It's just shit full stop.

  23. You say in jest but Puel did a good job here. Rodgers never could of had the success he's had without Puel before him. Same with Rodgers before Klopp. Someone has to change the style of play and that person is almost always the sacrificial lamb.

  24. Imagine being a 16-20 year old City fan right now (and im sure there are some on here)... Assuming you go to your first game in about 2009... youve seen a truly golden age.

  26. Also played an unbeliavble pass to Tielemans who should have scored in what was one of the best moves of the match. We are a better side this season because we are a better *team*. We don't have to rely on Vardy any more, we have other players that can also score. Every striker has good and bad patches, it even happened to Vardy last season when he won the golden boot. Keep giving him the chances and he will score, but even when he doesn't, he's still an incredible team player.

  32. It wasn't mm's at all, it was about a foot outside the area, the clown of a ref should have been able to see it with his own eyes. Have you not considered that if Long had actually been onside, then he could have just made a clear tackle. As it was, Long stole an advantage whether he meant to or not and was penalised for it.

  35. Let's be fair that side is too good for League 1. It's no wonder we stormed it looking back. What a season it was though. We won the title, ticked off a load of new grounds and went on to give the Championship a better crack the following season as we had for the previous few years. I was gutted to see us drop out of that select group to never have played in the third tier but it was a blessing in disguise really and we've benefited in the long run.
