Looking a bit rubbish today is for me only a tactical concern because of how we stopped playing after our goal, but that is a Rodgers thing which, in the face of my dislike for it, has served us pretty well. In case we forget, multi-billionaire Champions Liverpool are still 9 points behind us, which is apparently ok because they have 2 and a half injuries. They shipped 7 to Villa and lost to Fulham. We finish the game missing Fofana, Evans, Justin, Barnes and Maddison from our first XI, Vardy has been half-fit since November, and that’s before we start on squad players. Thi28 points

People need to look at the league positions before BR took over. 18/19 - 12th when he took over 17/18- 9th 16/17- 12th With a net spend of 25m he's taken to 5th and Europe, and with a bit of luck top 6 again. To many entitled fans on here.24 points

Don't care about the result. Hope Barnes is okay. (and Evans, obviously, but his didn't look anywhere near as bad as Harvey's)22 points

People going on about not strengthening like the fact we're losing a f*** load of money every day isn't actually happening. What planet are people on?20 points

Injuries have killed us. People need to think about that before we go in too hard on Rodgers and the players. We don't have anywhere near the quality that the "Big" 6 have in reserve. When everyone has been fit, we have generally been excellent and played teams of the pitch. I know that won't stop many on here ripping Rodgers and the players apart though17 points

I’ll need a bum hole repair if we keep getting these injuries. I’m going through y-fronts like no mans business every time somebody goes to the deck.16 points

We are having an unbelievable season. We need to grind out results now with what is left. Vardy needs a rest. He needs to be allowed to recover and come back as himself. But seriously, we are still having a brilliant season. Still chance of top 4 and FA Cup; but we absolutely must just show mental strength now. Anyone expecting buccaneering and high pressing football; please please just re-adjust your expectations. These guys are human and whilst other teams can rotate, we no longer can. This is now a 'hanging in there' job.15 points

Alright, way too much doom and gloom on here. Time for some good news and to open up the best thread of the season. Welcome to this season’s first entry: 1. Sheffield United14 points

The fact that we have had European football this season deserves respect The fact that we have pretty much been in the top 5 for most of the time since the start of last season deserves respect The fact that we have gone so far in cup competitions since the start of last season deserves respect The development of our playing style and squad deserves respect unless our success has created an over inflated level of expectation14 points

Kasper Ricardo Amartey Soyuncu Castagne Tielemans N’Didi Under Iheanacho Albrighton Vardy People saying rest so and so. We don’t have the depth to rest players at the minute. We have 3 winnable games coming up. Time to turn the doom and gloom round.13 points

Get a grip. We've been sensational this season and if we drop off it will be through injuries rather than Rodgers.13 points

I'm sorry but people saying this team are bottlers when on the cusp of the two second best top flight finishes in the club's history are a complete embaressment. Hysterical, entitled nonsense. Performances have been poor the last two games yes. The team is clearly dead on it's feet and decimated by injuries. Does that give everyone a pass for the last two performances, manager and players included, no it does not. That said although not an excuse it's unquestionably a reason and a factor for the recent performances so time to cut just a little bit of slack. By the way11 points

Cannot take anyone seriously who is suggesting BR might have 'failed' when he's doing an incredible job with the resources he has. I mean, given that the squad is apparently 'literally physically dead', isn't he performing witchcraft?11 points

I played semi-professionally for 5 years and I can tell you that fatigue is 100% a thing. I played in games when I've felt like I'm running through treacle from minute 1. It's horrible. I'd just add that when you play at that level you can hear pretty much everything the crowd say if you allow yourself too. When you're playing out of position and / or playing with an injury and some fat twat who wouldn't get into his local pub team tells you you're shit and your attitude stinks....it's infuriating. Some don't seem to be able to get their head around the fact that you can lose and t11 points

Last season we "bottled" it. This isn't the same. We're just crocked.11 points

Just looking at the names doesn't really take into account the actual situation does it. Vardy clearly isn't right, Ricardo is only just back from a year off and looks nowhere near where he was in terms of performance. Castagne hasn't been the same since his injury and even Ndidi hasn't really looked his usual self post injury. Then you have the fact Tielemans is running himself into the ground. The injuries to the first line fringe players like Justin, Fofana, Praet, Perez, on top os losing player like Maddison and now Barnes has stopped us being able to rotate as we would have t10 points

We can't say we haven't rotated enough because I think we've managed our injuries brilliantly, hence why we are 3rd and got to the knockout stages of EL without it effecting our league form as well as the QF of the FA Cup we are still in. We don't have the depth of quality in reserve thats the harsh reality and yet we still have done so well. I'm trying not to be too downbeat on the club but we really did need an attacking player in January and it's coming back to bite us horribly by the looks of it in the cruelest fashion.10 points

Maybe just maybe, this is why he was rested midweek... and not because we weren’t taking it seriously10 points

Looks like the stick that Rodgers got for resting Barnes on thursday was pretty harsh10 points

Everyone posting shit about us 'imploding' can do one. This is nothing like last year, this season we've been excellent even with all the injuries. Players / teams deserve some stick when they've been poor, but that's not the case for us. No matter where we finish this season, we're in this situation due to injuries - not weak mentality.10 points

That's the team I predicted! Happy with that, probably about the best we can piece together. Go on Kel!!10 points

I will support BR for now, despite his obvious flaws. But if we bottle the top 4 again this season, he is done as far as I'm concerned. Once is bad enough, twice is unacceptable from the positions we find ourselves in.9 points
-
Fofana trained twice this week. Should continue training next week. Might even see him in one of the games. Perez should be back soon, Maddison hopefully too. Honestly would not be arsed if we went back to a back 3/5-2-3 became boring for a few games and tried to nick a goal here and there to get a job done.9 points

Whatever stick you want to beat Rodgers with, we can't beat him with injuries. We've just had catastrophically bad luck. If Ole is the flukiest manager in the league and United the luckiest team, we're a contender for the least fortunate. The injuries to Ricardo, Barnes, Justin, even Madders really, they're just freak. Could happen to anyone at any time. Not really about over use, you could argue we've managed the return of a few poorly due to desperation but the big major ones are out of anyone's hands. How can you look at Barnes or Justin's injuries and9 points
-
I think Under did well when he came on. Was direct, ran at their defence, just didn't have any one else to play in or play with. He'll get pelters just cos it seems natural for some to do but I don't think he was bad at all.9 points
-
Most people would have expected to finish around 6,7 or 8th this season with the Europa league and the squad depth. If Rodgers gets us european football with our injuries since the start of the season, then he's done a very good job!8 points

We are in a great position I dunno what people are moaning about. Thursday was disappointing but in the grand scheme of things we weren’t exactly favourites to win it were we and it’s not like we can go to the games so it’s not like we are missing any big match days as a result. I think it’s pretty plain to see, with the way things have turned out, the squad isn’t going to cope with games on three fronts anymore so getting knocked out was a matter of time. Arsenal isn’t an easy game for anyone despite the fact they’ve had a rough season, never mind with personnel issues we’ve got.7 points

Feel sorry for the players and manager, normally I would be fuming but they are dead on their feet. Half the line up shouldn’t be playing as still not fully fit, but we have no options. Injurys have been crazy this season. The players look shattered and playing with concrete boots. Can’t blame the manager or players to be fair. We need to get through the next week and then it’s one game a week and we can recover.7 points

Worst team in Leicester City history, we’re gonna bottle the top 4 like we do every single year without fail, doesn’t matter what happens, today was a must win, now I see us finishing 15th x7 points

Bottling it is harsh, this is our second defeat since mid-December in the league. We may find something in the next few weeks to build on. It'll be very tough, though.7 points

If you took players of the quality of Maddison, Justin, Fofana and Barnes out of any team they would struggle - Man City aside.7 points

I was very annoyed the other night but I can't really pin this one on him. The players look absolutely exhausted and we're down to the bare bones. The schedule and injuries are finally taking their toll.7 points

If Rodgers says six weeks then this could be at best career ending and, at worst, life threatening6 points
