  2. Fair play Exactly what I’ve been saying, we’ve had injuries to key players all season, we never cried or even really spoke of it when things were going well.

  4. Alright, way too much doom and gloom on here. Time for some good news and to open up the best thread of the season. Welcome to this season’s first entry: 1. Sheffield United

  6. Seems like a season defining couple of weeks for us now, 6-9 points and we are back on track, especially with Morgan, Evans, Praet, Fofana, Perez & Maddison not too far away and the sides around us playing each other / having difficult fixtures; Leicester: Burnley (A) Brighton (A) Sheff U (H) Man Utd: Crystal Palace (A) Man City (A) West Ham (A) West Ham: Leeds (H) Man U (A) Arsenal (H) Chelsea: Liverpool (A) Everton (H) Leeds (A) Liverpool: Chelsea (H) Fulh

  8. Just looking at the names doesn't really take into account the actual situation does it. Vardy clearly isn't right, Ricardo is only just back from a year off and looks nowhere near where he was in terms of performance. Castagne hasn't been the same since his injury and even Ndidi hasn't really looked his usual self post injury. Then you have the fact Tielemans is running himself into the ground. The injuries to the first line fringe players like Justin, Fofana, Praet, Perez, on top os losing player like Maddison and now Barnes has stopped us being able to rotate as we would have t

  9. There has been so much BS written about Rodgers and the team over the past few days. The facts are we're 3rd, only one point behind Man U. That in itself with our squad size, budgets and injuries is an incredible achievement. Look at where Liverpool are and how they've managed their injuries. They were champions last season and they've struggled to cope with all their injuries. Hopefully more people get behind the team and show support. We might achieve something incredible this season. When you compare that to the average expectation of the fans at the st

  10. I don't get it, he gets heaps of praise, the mere mention of criticism and people get their backs up. Hes a great manager and the best we could hope for....however he'd definitely jump ship if something bigger came up, he's at leicester because it'll help him get a bigger job and that's fine, hence your marriage if convenience comment being fair, and additionally expectations at the club are raised, largely down to what he's done and partly due to him saying it's possible. People are going to be pissed off when we lose, it's called being a fan, if you like losing football isn't for you.

  11. Dave was offered the doctors job full time and he didn’t want it as he works for a practice in his spare time. Leicester wanted a full time club doctor so they went there separate ways, he was great at his job but most top clubs have a full time club doctor and I guess that’s where we want to be. Don’t see the issue with it really 🤷🏻‍♂️

  13. Did the table predictor here Our results: Burnley - 1-0 loss Brighton - 1-1 Sheff Utd - 2-0 win Man City - 3-0 loss West Ham - 2-2 West Brom - 1-0 win Palace - 3-0 win Southampton - 2-1 win Newcastle - 3-0 win Man Utd - 3-1 loss Chelsea - 2-2 Tottenham - 2-1 win (yes, this is reminiscent of our final game at Filbert Street before the pitch was ripped up...) 21 more points between now and end of the season. Leaves us on 70 points, enough to get us top 4. Keeps us in 3rd, just about...

  14. You’re not alone. I’m seeing ‘bottle’ being used synonymously with ‘just coming up short’ and it’s irritating. If we ‘just come up short’ this season it doesn’t take too long to figure out why that might be: too many injuries to too many players leaving us unable to rest/rotate the few able bodied souls that remain. Nothing to do with bottle.

  15. Given our catastrophic injury crisis there is every reason for pessimism right now, so is there any cause for optimism? I honestly believe there is. We are about to embark on a 12 game mini-season with a 5 point cushion on 5th. Our upcoming fixtures include games against Burnley, Brighton, Sheff U, West Brom, Crystal Palace, Newcastle and Southampton. With the exception of in-form Fulham, that is almost the entire bottom half of the table. These are all winnable games even with a depleted squad. Rodgers will need to prioritize getting fresh legs onto the field in each of these fixtures so

  19. B.Rodgers has made no excuses,Not gone on a Blame crusade, not hidden behind our Real problems & injury crisis... Hes always been upfront.. i believe Its time that this forum and all fans get behind him & the team. These injuries with no same Team routine is Really our problem. So far he was Handled it brilliantly.... Its just got too much, for the Ressources or Lack of, that has/is grinding us down.... There are no other reasons..No Historical- routine or Blame issues... We dont know what the Ceiling is,because our walls have been hit by injury-

  20. People need to look at the league positions before BR took over. 18/19 - 12th when he took over 17/18- 9th 16/17- 12th With a net spend of 25m he's taken to 5th and Europe, and with a bit of luck top 6 again. To many entitled fans on here.

  21. You can give Brendan respect for his broad achievements and still criticise aspects of what he has done or instances of his decision making. It doesn’t have to be either/or. The two are not mutually exclusive.

  22. We went on a horrid run after losing to Liverpool on Boxing Day. We had a few injuries but nothing compared to the crisis we're having now.. Ultimately the buck stops with the manager. Hee, as the manager, was responsible for what happened. We had a 15 point lead over United.

  25. I take a totally different mindset to the one you’ve just presented. The KEY characteristic that our owners wanted to embed in the club ever since they took over was that they wanted us to be self-sustainable. Villa and Everton going in and spending however much on transfers per year with nothing to show for it is not sustainable. Us building a young, incredibly talented, valuable squad at a low cost with a responsible business model IS sustainable. Selling assets doesn’t worry me because we’re so bloody good at it. We get lads tied down longterm so when someone does eventually leave the club

  29. To be fair players tend to come back quicker than Rodgers timelines (Fofana and Praet both appear close to returning a few weeks head of schedules). What he's bad for is straight after the injury saying its hopefully not too bad when the players innthe changing room with their leg hanging off.

  31. I feel like he’s starting to get to the end of his tether with all now, no more pussy footing around the issue “we’ve just got to find a way”. I’ve got confidence that he can create a bit of a siege mentality amongst the players who have carried us all season and are going to be doubly important now. Time to see who the real leaders are. Go on Brendan.

  34. We're not a BIG club. We're not a SMALL club. We're a GROWING club. Our mentality is to improve where we can, maybe not at the pace you want but we've improved massively over the past two years. It's not perfect, there will always be bumps in the road. Just try to enjoy the greatest period in our history. And relax.

  35. I'd just add to this that (especially in the January window) we are trying to not lose all our chips in a very financially rigged game of poker. When you hear comments like 'we don't want too many Leicester Citys', it's an indicator that those with the most clout will do whatever they can to make life as impossible as they can for anyone else to compete - because it is simply not in their best interests to have us do so. Likewise, the long term health of football is not in their best interests either - it's all about power and consolidating a monopoly. So again, I have every sympathy and admir

  37. Man, you’re not reading the room. We’re all karma in this thread. So relax. Open a Grolsch. Take a walk. Appreciate the beauty of an nascent daffodil on a spring morning. Make a small donation to a charity. Tell someone you love they are great. We will win some, we will lose some. We will always love The City. I’m off to hug a stranger (virtually, from a safe distance obvs)

  38. What worries me is we haven’t signed a decent winger or striker since Pearson was here. We’re still using Albrighton despite going two years without a goal in the league and very few assists. We got lucky we didn’t have to sign Barnes, our attacking options are so poor you have to wonder what is going with our scouting team when it comes to forward players the success rate is at 0% since 2015.

  39. Great analogy this. People say 'ahhh they're professional athletes they should be able to play 3 times a week' blah blah blah well 1) to 'play' means to PERFORM to an unbelievable standard not just turn up 2) mental fatigue is a thing, it has affected all of us and work and left us going through the motions and it's the same for these lads. Aka get off your ****ing high horses and recognise the expectations are different than turning up to a Sunday league game with mates. It's a career and we all have off days and we would have many more if asked to work all weekend too for an extend

  41. I played semi-professionally for 5 years and I can tell you that fatigue is 100% a thing. I played in games when I've felt like I'm running through treacle from minute 1. It's horrible. I'd just add that when you play at that level you can hear pretty much everything the crowd say if you allow yourself too. When you're playing out of position and / or playing with an injury and some fat twat who wouldn't get into his local pub team tells you you're shit and your attitude stinks....it's infuriating. Some don't seem to be able to get their head around the fact that you can lose and t
