  2. OK, its a bit sad, but I'm genuinely intrigued by how a company can go from being profitable 4 years in a row to suddenly making a £67m loss, so I've done done more analysis on the last 5 years (the 6th year back when we were in the Championship is a different ballgame altogether): And time for a bit of humble pie: In a deeper dive into the accounts, player transfers are quite misleading: the fees to buy players actually show as amortisation within COS, but the fees we receive go on the face of the P+L as transfers, which is why it looks like we are making a massive profit on them

  3. Spot on, the big boys should be looking at Rice very closely, Tielemans isn't worth their time.

  6. When I was bout 8 I went to see the Leicester players off onto the coach before an away game at Coventry. I lived near Belfast (Army dad) at the time and that was as close as I'd been to a game in my recent memory. I got a few autographs and met a very curt Martin O'Neill. When I wished Muzzy good luck he asked if I had tickets to the game. When we said no he told us to wait right there before coming back half hour later with tickets for me and my dad. We drew 0-0 but I considered that one of the best football memories of my life. I love Muzzy to bits.

  7. Rice is a defensive midfielder, which Ndidi shits all over him in every aspect. Rice compared to Tielemans as a creative deep lying playmaker isn't even worthy of a debate. Rice is about as creative as a cheese sandwich.

  9. Many years ago, after he had retired ( just) I used to work in the pediatric intensive care unit at the Royal. It was made known to Muzzy that there was a teenage girl who had just been diagnosed with an incurable brain tumor who was one of his biggest fans. Muzzy came to visit her and they quickly became good friends. He visit on so many occasions and He would stay for hours and just sit with her and be there. They would text back and forth many times a day. He truly took her to heart and was at her funeral. Muzzy wasn’t just a top class fella on the pitch, he was just as

  11. He had a much better squad in 2019 and managed one point. Mount, Maddison, Calvert-Lewin, Barnes, Abraham, Foden, Wan-Bissaka. Boothroyd is the problem.

  14. At this point, did anyone actually think we were still going to sign him permanently? I have nothing against the guy, but he clearly hasn’t done enough to impress Brendan enough to spend £20m+ on him.

  16. Looking at his stats for this season he did get a decent amount of game time up until the new year when he pick up his hamstring injury. With European Football, a decent cup run and some rotation in EPL fixtures Praet should be getting around 20 starts per season assuming he's second choice to Youri and Madders in Rodgers preferred formations of 4 1 4 1 or 3 4 1 2. He's the quality of squad player we need to compete in both domestic and european competitions. Whether he's happy with this role is the question

  17. I wouldn't mind if everybody is in agreement that there's going to be a small level of mistake and give VAR a set time period (really short like 10 seconds). No lines. Just freeze frame or slowdown footage and they can make an eyeball judgement. Then give the attacking player the advantage if it's basically to narrow to judge. Give all refs mics so we can hear what they're saying to each other and the players. Have teams identify an outfield player (if the captain is the keeper). And only that representative can talk to the ref (unless the ref asks that representative to pull acro

  21. I’ve just read this. What a silly outlook. Surely winning breeds a winning mentality. That’s a deflection tactic for a poor job.

  22. What fans? They don’t care about local fans or match going fans. They care about the billions around the world watching it who’ve never been to a match in their lives and have picked whatever team is currently winning stuff as their team to support. And those “fans” will absolutely love the idea.

  23. VAR is not the issue. It's those implementing it. And until that improves we're f***** either way

  24. Absolutely pathetic, the talent we have in the u21s besides the stars moved straight to the seniors is great. Just a shit coach looking for an excuse

  25. My first real Leicester hero when I was a kid - an exciting, skillful, exuberant player who was easy to idolise. Had the good fortune to have him be the special guest at the Oadby Owls football awards one year where he couldn't have been more gracious - still got his autograph knocking around somewhere.

  31. To be fair, Bayern are quite literally the Champions of Europe and favourites to retain it (though Lewandowski being out for a month could derail that attempt). So if he were to leave to go to a club like that then you couldn't really begrudge him the move. He's good enough to play for them IMO, even if he was more of a rotation / depth option than first team starter every week. It wouldn't be like Kante leaving for Chelsea which was painful to take. For me Ndidi, Soyuncu and Tielemans are all players that I would expect to see send up at the very top of the game, unless we make it

  32. Shove Maddison out wide? Drop Ndidi and play no holding midfielder? Play a diamond? He's a good player, he's just not good enough to justify shaping the entire team around him, which is why the manager is not inclined to do so.

I took the morning off to get it but when I tried to Access the Office, my boss wanted have a Word. I was on the Edge but he told me not to worry but wanted me to Excel this week or he'd chuck me out the Windows regardless of any vaccine after effect. I said no problem Bill.
