  1. Looking a bit rubbish today is for me only a tactical concern because of how we stopped playing after our goal, but that is a Rodgers thing which, in the face of my dislike for it, has served us pretty well. In case we forget, multi-billionaire Champions Liverpool are still 9 points behind us, which is apparently ok because they have 2 and a half injuries. They shipped 7 to Villa and lost to Fulham. We finish the game missing Fofana, Evans, Justin, Barnes and Maddison from our first XI, Vardy has been half-fit since November, and that’s before we start on squad players. Thi

  3. People need to look at the league positions before BR took over. 18/19 - 12th when he took over 17/18- 9th 16/17- 12th With a net spend of 25m he's taken to 5th and Europe, and with a bit of luck top 6 again. To many entitled fans on here.

  4. The difference this season is we are getting players back in the next few weeks instead of getting injuries like we did last season. Yes if you are a pessimist you could say that we could pick up injuries but looking at the squad there is a bit of light at the end of the tunnel. We had Fofana back last night, Perez more that likely involved at the weekend. Evans I imagine was just rested / given a week to recover. Praet will be back soon and Maddison may be involved against Sheff United. After Brighton we have 1 league game in 3 weeks! with the FA cup in there as well

  6. I know this is a joke but say what you want about amartey but he’s a life saver at the minute. Not many players can cover 3 plus positions to a decent level. He’s a very useful player to have around.

  7. I think the problem is that training and coaching have been minimal due to the congested schedule. They have only really had time for recovery and tactics. I'm sure now we have less games per week they can train more together as a full squad.

  8. Actually thought the boys put in a decent shift. Would have lost that last season.

  10. Don't care about the result. Hope Barnes is okay. (and Evans, obviously, but his didn't look anywhere near as bad as Harvey's)

  11. Alright, way too much doom and gloom on here. Time for some good news and to open up the best thread of the season. Welcome to this season’s first entry: 1. Sheffield United

  13. Leicester are in advanced talks over a new deal with Harvey Barnes as they look to fend off interest from a growing number of clubs. The 23-year-old has been one of the Foxes’ star performers this season and the club want to reward his progress by bringing him into line with other top earners. Barnes, whose side face Arsenal today, has scored 13 goals and chipped in with four assists, and become an integral part of Brendan Rodgers’ plans. Manchester United and Liverpool have both had the midfielder watched, and Leicester want to nip speculation over his futu

  14. I'm sorry but if Youri Tielemans doesn't win POTY then it's another fine example of a moronic fan base that we have. Justin has been exceptional, Barnes in large spells too but Youri has been out of this world.

  18. Just looking at the names doesn't really take into account the actual situation does it. Vardy clearly isn't right, Ricardo is only just back from a year off and looks nowhere near where he was in terms of performance. Castagne hasn't been the same since his injury and even Ndidi hasn't really looked his usual self post injury. Then you have the fact Tielemans is running himself into the ground. The injuries to the first line fringe players like Justin, Fofana, Praet, Perez, on top os losing player like Maddison and now Barnes has stopped us being able to rotate as we would have t

  19. I’ll need a bum hole repair if we keep getting these injuries. I’m going through y-fronts like no mans business every time somebody goes to the deck.

  20. Kasper Ricardo Amartey Soyuncu Castagne Tielemans N’Didi Under Iheanacho Albrighton Vardy People saying rest so and so. We don’t have the depth to rest players at the minute. We have 3 winnable games coming up. Time to turn the doom and gloom round.

  21. I can’t be the only one that enjoyed that, surely? I thought our makeshift team did well and showed real spirit and played some good football. I’d have clapped them off and enjoyed my drive home if I’d been there.

  24. Injuries have killed us. People need to think about that before we go in too hard on Rodgers and the players. We don't have anywhere near the quality that the "Big" 6 have in reserve. When everyone has been fit, we have generally been excellent and played teams of the pitch. I know that won't stop many on here ripping Rodgers and the players apart though

  25. Wow. Amazing. Consistently the fifth best club in the country is epic growth, compared to our historical average. And all that with half a squad 👍

  26. Baffled by Rodgers subs sometimes.. 1) How did Hamza survive 75 minutes? 2) Why does he always seem to sub Iheanacho off when he's playing well? 3) There is literally no excuse to play Amartey RB when Castagne and Ricardo are both on the pitch and Thomas is on the bench. Its a complete waste of a position as he adds nothing. Good job Kasper is World Class otherwise we lose that comfortably..

  27. The fact that we have had European football this season deserves respect The fact that we have pretty much been in the top 5 for most of the time since the start of last season deserves respect The fact that we have gone so far in cup competitions since the start of last season deserves respect The development of our playing style and squad deserves respect unless our success has created an over inflated level of expectation

  28. We are having an unbelievable season. We need to grind out results now with what is left. Vardy needs a rest. He needs to be allowed to recover and come back as himself. But seriously, we are still having a brilliant season. Still chance of top 4 and FA Cup; but we absolutely must just show mental strength now. Anyone expecting buccaneering and high pressing football; please please just re-adjust your expectations. These guys are human and whilst other teams can rotate, we no longer can. This is now a 'hanging in there' job.

  29. Mendy is miles ahead of him as a player. So much more comfortable on the ball and will drive it forward. The fact Hamza was not subbed before Mendy is baffling

  30. There's some real entitlement in this fan base. We're missing half our team and drew a very tricky away game. We aren't going to win every week and we are going to win less often with the players we have available.

  33. I just don't think a loan move will necessarily benefit him, he's already playing enough matches here and by and large doing well. He was man of the match vs Aston Villa, likewise on his debut last season and has had a number of other really good performances this season. I get that he's been taken off at half time twice but I think that was as much tactical as it was him being poor, he certainly wasn't poor vs Wolves he's had a decent half and it was a shock he went off but from memory that was due to the impending substitution of Traore. Thomas is only 19 and already

  34. I played semi-professionally for 5 years and I can tell you that fatigue is 100% a thing. I played in games when I've felt like I'm running through treacle from minute 1. It's horrible. I'd just add that when you play at that level you can hear pretty much everything the crowd say if you allow yourself too. When you're playing out of position and / or playing with an injury and some fat twat who wouldn't get into his local pub team tells you you're shit and your attitude stinks....it's infuriating. Some don't seem to be able to get their head around the fact that you can lose and t

  37. I don't think it is a bad point, really. Performance not great with a patch-up, cobbled together team, Schmeichel played superbly but many on here were writing us off so a draw isn't a disgrace.

  39. Brilliant tbf. Found out about a year ago that my job was at risk of redundancy, which was then confirmed about June - was originally meant to be leaving in September last year. My line manager managed to get me kept on temporarily til December, and then extended again til May, but he phoned me up on my day off today to confirm my redundancy is now cancelled and my job is reinstated. Massive weight off my mind!

  43. @Foxes96 makes a very good point. Fernandes turned MUFC from average to sensational. They went on an incredible 15 match unbeaten run to the end of the season, winning 10 and drawing 5 (35pts from 45) while we struggled with injuries along with inexperience. One good result for us/one bad result for them and we would've made top 4. And if we had had made top 4, we might have struggled in the higher quality CL with all the injuries which may in turn have knocked confidence in the league etc. Everything happens for a reason. We didn't "bottle it" last season. We simply came up slightly short on
