  1. Schmeichel nailed it in post match when he said that Liverpool and Man City are two of the best teams in the world, and they’re way ahead in their development. I think some of the overreaction was a bit knee jerk and I can completely sympathise because the stats are not kind to us. I would, however, like to revisit this sort of performance if/when we get to our 4th season under Rodgers and see how far we’ve come then. It’s a real bitter one to take but we just simply are not on their level yet. We should still be optimistic about the future as I don’t predict we’ll be finishing in 9th...
  2. Ew sweaty way to win it for Liverpool but the media will keep sucking the teat... Hope you all had a great Xmas though!
  3. Merry Christmas to all on here. Here's hoping for a win on Boxing Day and a good second half to the season!
  4. Get in Brendan! No fear 4-1-4-1. Even if we get rolled we’ll go down swinging.
  5. I know the neutrals love Duncan Ferguson managing Everton but they have been absolute pants and if they get a sweaty result out of this it just won’t be deserved.
  6. 100% pass success?! If that's KDB Sky Sports are making a documentary...
  7. These are filthy, but if we can rise above it it shows just how far we've come. They've been so aggressive in the challenge, and should have at least 1 red, and have conned the ref for our yellows. We're still the better team though...
  8. Looooool what is this guys problem? Absolutely zero consistency.
  9. A true hero and so important for the team. It was so good to see how much he loved Iheanacho’s goal as well.
  10. Is that a hard to understand 300 reference? Either way fair play to their fans, it must be tough to watch every week.
  11. That was impressive from us, even if Everton played well. Tonight was the first time I’ve been down this season, and the difference in shape, intent and desire was striking. It felt a bit like Newcastle at home last season for a while, and I fully expected us to struggle to get back into it, but we looked brilliant and we truly have evolved around the low block. Incredible shifts from Ricardo and Iheanacho, while I think we deserved it overall these were the standouts for me. I know a few have commented on this already, but there seems to be a really powerful buzz around the ground, not unlike 15/16. I now don’t doubt how good Rodgers can make this team and I think the ceiling is scarily high. I’ve also lost my voice but that won’t stop me throwing it in my Everton supporting Brother-in-law’s face lol.
  12. We're good enough to beat Everton, and if we want to win the whole thing we shouldn't fear anyone. We were bound to get a tough fixture at some point, and at least it's not Man City at home
  13. The World Cup was fun, but tactics, shape and selection were all wrong yesterday. Also they spent all week throwing a nerf ball about 😂
  14. Chelsea, Liverpool, Man U away and Tottenham at home. Not many teams can have those in their first 8 and end up 4th in the table. It was a rough one to take but I think we’re going to be a serious force for the rest of the season. We won’t need much motivation for the home fixture, we’ll want to do a job on them.
  15. Ugh hate to lose like that. No worries lads heads held high we’ll go again next time. COYB
  16. Hamza's great, and could go on to do great things. It’s nice to see him talking about his roots when other footballers aren’t as up front and open about things. Fantastic player and already a role model to so many at such a young age 🙌
  17. I’m sure basically everyone else has said something to this end but we really nailed it didn’t we?
  18. Mahrez was a poor mans Knockaert...
  19. Always hoped he would just click one day for us but it doesn’t look like happening, best for all to move on and bring Barnes through.
  20. Rough one today but we’re good enough to bounce back. I’m sure we can make excuses like the international break coming at the wrong time etc. But we just weren’t at the races tactically and didn’t have the execution needed to get a result away from home today, never mind at old Trafford. I’m sure the media feel vindicated for the Maguire move now (don’t think the player is too sure) but I hope they don’t ram it down our throats like they did with the transfer itself.
  21. Tactically wrong from the outset today I’m afraid. Untied have been there for the taking all afternoon but we’ve looked scared and bereft of ideas. Take the loss and move on, no excuses.
