davieG 17,019 Posted 27 July 2020 Report Share Posted 27 July 2020 Man Utd penalty was the fourth spot-kick conceded by City since the restart, and 10th they’d given away over the full season – the most in the Premier League. A couple, like Caglar Soyuncu’s handball at home to Liverpool, were unfortunate more than avoidable, but most have been caused by moments of miscommunication, lapses in concentration, or just downright madness. String fellow 349 Posted 27 July 2020 Report Share Posted 27 July 2020 Whilst our 9-0 win was pretty amazing, that other 'City' also had some big wins this season. Exactly half of Manchester City's 102 PL goals were scored in just ten matches, comprising an 8-0, a 6-1, five at 5-0 and three at 4-0. Six of those ten big wins occurred after the restart in June, and their points total of 81 equalled our's in 2016.

He only takes them when Maddison is not playing so not many and Maddisons have been poor most of the season or have certainly like his indirect free kicks not led to many real chances. It's an area, from memory that we've been particularly poor at. The whole "chances created" is a bit of a tenuous stat because there's no detail on how good the 'chance' was. Is lobbing a corner/free kick into the penalty area where it's immediately headed clear by a defender a chance? Is a 'through ball' to a player but misses him a 'chance'? I'd like to know their definition of chances created.
