happy to help man. i needed a smile too and monkey always brings a smile to my face. 

 

some days, even at 33 years old, my best friend is a stuffed animal - he never judges me and always takes my side in everything. ****ing hero.

Tuesday can **** off. Starved myself all day for weigh in tonight. Left my laptop open (with half a dozen tabs open with important job seeking stuff) to go and do some DIY upstairs. Came back down not even 10 minutes later and the ****ing thing has not only crashed it won't recognise the hard drive so all my stuff is lost. Now my phone won't charge, and there was **** all parking at weigh in so was wayyy too late for it and I don't know how bad I've done, so I starved myself for nothing. To add insult to injury they're both Apple devices. And I have absolutely no money to repair or replace them. Seriously pissed off with today!!

I know it may not be entirely relevant to some, but I find his story intriguing and saddening to have read this article on how watching people commit suicide in front of him has affected a former train drivers' thoughts and feelings post-career, who urges those having suicidal thoughts to talk to someone in how they feel.

It's all gone a bit quiet on here so I thought I'd do my bit and give a reasonably positive update.

 

After having a meltdown and taking 2 weeks off work and walking out on my wife and 4 kids...

 

I moved back home after 1 week with my wife agreeing to go to relate to try to understand me and my depression better and hopefully avoid situations where she inadvertently kicks me further down the slippery slope when I'm on a downer. We are talking more after 20 years and 4 kids. Not going to be easy but as I told her, we haven't actually started it yet so we can't expect miracles just by saying we'll do it.

 

And big surprise, I am also going to relate with my extremely awkward temporary business partner (phased retirement buy out). Well actually arbitration which is even better as I don't think he is as capable or willing to change so an agreed way forward is the best I can hope for.

 

Something I suggested then demanded months ago but gave up on. I guess my 2 weeks off also "helped" him to decide what was important to him.

 

My other separate business partner also had an email rant which would previously have lit my touch paper and sent me off on one. I've not even acknowledged it and the world is still spinning. Already have a plan in place to fix his particular problem, so no biggie.

 

Generally doing better at being in control of my own emotions and not letting other people's actions kick them somewhere I don't want them to be.

 

Touched base with my gp's who i generally despise but am impressed with them and know they are there if I need them (at least regarding my depression anyway)
