No matter how confrontational Ibrahimovic's first and the penalty was, being 35 and still able to put in decent performances and be effective should be admired really.

Can anyone imagine Vardy being as effective in 4 years' time like him?

Doubt it.

I'd like to be able to imagine Vardy being effective ever again but I'm struggling ATM.

Most of it is down to being effective and ruthless in front of goal. You can sense that he's developed an eye for an open goal and positions himself usually highly correctly in the goal area. I don't think he's ever been blessed with explosive speed, but he reads the game well and knows when to go down for a penalty - just like against St. Etienne. He's smart - and cheeky.

Bringing Vardy into it is a bit of an odd comparison, they're nowhere near the same type of player/striker.

Manchester United also have so much talent in all areas and it's probably a bit easier to play with such footballers around you than it is for Vardy at Leicester currently.

Let's put this into context as we have both played supposedly soft Belgian opposition in Europe

we played Bruges currently top with 55 Pts ...Agg score Leicester win 5 -1

Spurs played Gent currently 8th with 41pts...Agg score Spurs 2 Gent 3....

Spurs self imploding again just like last season.....Delli Ali horrific tackle deserved red .....Watched the last 20 mins and so many incidents of Spurs players diving and berating ref to show Gent players cards....He booked Vertonghen for simulating a yellow card when he was hardly touched not quite as bad as they were against Chelsea last year but. Walker could of seen red as well late on.....God it's great been a Leicester fan
