There was one bloke belting it out at the back of SK1, and the rest of us struggling between 'one of our own' and 'champions of England' 

 

Kept getting confused with 'he made us sing that' at the end but it will catch on. Class song

I heard it too, tried to help him out but I didn’t know the words my self and he didn’t know the tune very well. Like I said one away game where it’s belted it it’ll be sung the next home game.

Just so special being by L1 singing this yesterday, especially when Top stopped to appreciate it/us at the end.

 

As a tribute song I feel it gets lost a bit, immediately after “one of our own” with the next 2 lines having nothing really to do with Vichai.

 

If we could swap in something like:-

 

”With Top by his side....

Our hearts filled with pride”

 

before belting out out the “Champions of England, you made us sing that”

 

it just makes it more about him, which I guess is the whole idea.

I heard various versions of this song yesterday, not sure what the intended words are but I heard....

 

Vichai had a dream

 

He built/bought/chose our football team. 

 

He came from Thailand and/but now he's one of our own

 

We came/built/play from the back

 

The counter attack

 

Champions of England 

 

You/he made us sing that

What was being sung in K1 concourse non stop for half an hour prior to kick off was definitely

 

Vichai had a dream

he bought our football team

he came from Thailand and now he’s one of our own

We play from the back

We counter attack

champions of england

you made us sing that 

 

Sounded amazing ?

I think its "we played from the back, with counter attack", but i could be wrong.

Either way it`s brilliant and hopefully is going to be belted out for a long time to come.

Yeah you could be right, that part is a little unclear on the video I took but I sang what I posted haha! I don’t understand how others can post videos in here, every time it tells me that it’s too big ?

Should become a club anthem and sung every game whilst these lads own the club.

 Wys will always be ours, but there could be a 100 day morning for Vichai in Thailand, if the king allows, so let’s keep it up for at least that, like it, and like I said yesterday, had a lump in my throat when I walked onto the concourse with this being sung
