Amazing what confidence can do for a team and players.

A Demmy Gray with confidence is a player defenders should fear!! The kids always getting better.

DG still needs to show that he can be involved for more than 25 minutes against Premiership opponents who don't run short of gas as quickly as Championship teams like Derby.

No-one doubts his promise. But that and an increasing end product should be his priorities. It's no use wasting his talent on repetitive defensive duties because they are so draining of the explosive energy needed at the other end. And it's the same with Mahrez really.

Surely a back four and up to three spoilers in midfield should cope with most attacks especially as hardly anyone plays with more than two guys up front and modest back-up. Especially when their opponents carry a threat which we've not had for far too much of this season.

Well that and tactics that got the other 10 playing.

Yes, the other 10 playing certainly helps.. lol

But what we've been missing in the central midfield area is that player who can play alongside Drinkwater and do exactly what you said Ndidi did last night. Tackle, pick a pass and do it in a composed fashion. There was a spell between just after half time to about Sixty mins in when Ndidi looked like he'd been playing in the Prem for years.

This IS what we've been missing, along with many other things and it's exactly why I've been banging on about it so much.

Annnnd we're there... It's the "I was right the problem was just cm". He's played quite a few games and we've still looked utterly inept have we not?
