Benalouane "Ready to Play"

Recommended Posts

Good to see him on the comfortable on the left side of defence too. Whenever Huth has been rested Wes moves to that side and never looks comfortable there.

Agree about not getting carried away but a very good performance nevertheless.

It's a huge relief that he is a capable back up.  I must admit I didn't have a great deal of faith at the start of the season and I still am not convinced by his positioning. But he definitely has a bit of class to his game and he's taken his opportunity brilliantly.

One injury/ suspension and he could go from playing with the kids to a champions league quarter final

I've watched every game he's played over the last two seasons. He had never had a bad one. I like him, always looks comfortable, can play with his feet and also puts a really good shift in, stands up too rather than hitting the ground. Good player, and good replacement next season when one of the others is sent off to the knackers yard. Why he's ever received stick on here is well beyond me.
