Don't recall reading about them being administered in such a way as they would never see or speak to their families again. This administration has taken migrant kids from their families and locked them up in entirely different places with no means or administrative process that would allow the families to be reformed. Trump has called immigrants animals. He has talked about them like they are vermin. He is walking the same path as the extreme right in Europe in the 1930s. Differentiate, Dehumanise and then treat as sub-human. Let's hope he doesn't get to take his policies to the same conclusion Anybody defending this is insane imo. Why would you defend it? I was repping the sentiment rather than the historical accuracy, though it is fair to say that in the second war we were fighting against the same oppressive notions that a person is better than another by virtue of an accident of birth. Obama, the war criminal did heinous things and the media rarely flays him in public because the one who got the short end of the stick didn't gain the public sympathy. but, that doesn't make it alright for the Trump supporters to deflect blame. both are criminals but certain "some" will help cover up for Obama and we all know why. We say "the evil of the misfortune may bring laughter" so Find it funny how locked-up Kids who choose to migrate illegally gained more sympathy than the kids who got gassed to death. It's about who writes the narrative and controls the media, right? Even the Palestinian girl that got media attention was as white as a person can be. and people (subconsciously) will relate to her because she looks like them. It's a hard pill to swallow but that's the world we live in. It's ok to have those feelings but just make sure to not say "we stand up for everyone" Because you don't.
