Surely Chelsea wouldn't sell. He's always been the gem of their academy and has serious potential to be the next big thing. 15mill is a drop in the ocean for someone with his potential, a gamble well worth taking if it's possible.

Just open pen the negotiations with "how did Kante work out for you?"

who knows what agreements were made with the Kante deal. Rudkin may have played a blinder for us for once.

hopefully they owe us one.

With chelsea they always bring through youth with the intention to sell on so there could be legs in this. It won't be cheap but they may not even see him as a first team option

It's not really their business model to bring him through though.

We laugh when clubs like Chelsea or United let a youngster go and end up trying to resign them but it's a risk they're willing to take.

For every Lukaku or Pogba, there's hundreds of Matty James, Richie de Laets, Jeffrey Brumas and Patrick Bamfords that make them an absolute killing.

Conte and Claudio are buddies don't expect any favours from Chelsea..............

Now Ake as somebody has already mentioned may be a better option.

Only one man runs that club and it's not Conte.

Potentially a good addition, scoring hatfuls in the Championship. May well be able to make the step up and has a very bright future.

I've watched him live twice this season, he's mobile for a big man, got some pace as well so more in the Slimani range. But he can score a variety of goals which is great.

Has blown hot and cold this season but then who doesn't!

With the current market 15m would probably end up a bargain. A few mil more than what we got for Schlupp.

You could probably make a very good prem side for the best part of the next decade out of the young players not getting a look in at Chelsea. Ake, Abraham, loftus Cheek, Chalobah, Batshuayi. Can see Batshuayi going Everton with the Lukaku deal then being a great player for them though.

£15 million isn't crazy in this market.

But i'd rather we try and agree a year loan for like £5 mil, and then arrange a fee for the end of the season for £15 mil if we want to keep him.

Seems fair for both clubs imo.

Agreed and if I was his advisor I'd be looking to leave Chelsea ASAP.

Unless he is nailed on to become a worldie then you pretty much waste half your career at clubs like Chelsea. They have Costa there at the minute and Lukaku is rumoured so opportunities will be slim. Unless you have enough faith in your ability that you can compete with top class players for their positions then you're probably better off taking the Lukaku route when you step down a level and look to return a few years later.
