Rudkin

Recommended Posts

What gets me is how our local media seem incapable of getting an interview with Rudkin. Frankly it is about time he answered some serious press questions about the pretty disastrous last twelve months.

Manager situation shambolic

Assistant Manager hopeless

Player recruitment and retainment  a joke

Youth development pretty much non-existent

Yet he never answers any questions, the local press never speak to him and he still retains his position.

There does seem to be a rudkin out feeling on social media, could this filter into the ground, and put pressure on the owners to get rid of him?

Hopefully.

It seems so far up the owners backsides that they can't see his failings.

Exactly, for all those who ask "What does he actually do?" in response to anyone having a bad word against him or questioning him, well let's have it out one way or another, let's let him have some airtime, be questioned, explain himself, it might even change our opinions of him, I can't see it because it's gone to far now, he needs to have gone along time ago let alone now, but let him have his opportunity, Jon, speak...

This is because he spends most of his time trying to hide his inadequacies and going infront of the media will highlight them for people to see. His worst nightmare.

The owners trust whelan for the commercial side and rudkin on the football. neither are going anywhere. none of us have any idea whether at the end of last season it was rudkin arguing that shakey wouldn't be the best appointment with top supporting the appt. For all we know, shakeys's demise may have strengthened rudkin's position with the owners.

A bit of Rudkin out, chanting wouldn’t go a miss at home to Leeds.

How can you say that when you have no idea of what the guy does or is responsible for, if you have ever come across the guy he is decent and approachable bloke,  he is just the owners mouthpiece who is the poor sod who has his head above the parapet.

Again...is this more idle speculation. Or do you know this for a fact?

The forum, once again, is speaking like it knows what is wrong behind the scenes...Rudkin.... but based on what?

He won’t put his head above the parapet, you can be assured of that!

He is a nice guy but falls short of the standard of a DOF based on Les Reed at Southampton.

Fact that he has very little football experience and his CV wouldn't have got him the job if he wasn't here already

poor? He certainly isn't that. Well looked after in league Win. New house over twice the value of Claudio's.

I doubt his stock is that strong given his performance over-seeing recruitment.   Putting the Drinky/Silva shambles to one side, our dealings over the last two windows are fundamental to our current plight. Millions have been wasted. Millions.  Plus Shakey's demise was not helped by recruitment was it?

Someone must be in the frame for this shambolic situation and it cannot all be down to Shakey.   If we do not see any material changes across the football operations side of things, then difficult to see how we can move forward.

His part of recruitment is to deliver the signings within the budget agreed. Apart from the silva debacle (where the club clearly feel they met deadlines) where has he come up short ??

He is an easy target for everyone but in the owners opinion he may be getting stronger whilst other weaken. That was my point.

Rudkin has too much dirty laundry on the club. There's a reason a once academy director is now director of football. The only way he leaves is to hand in his resignation and the club will make him sign a confidentially agreement.

We have paid well over the odds time after time after time.  Do you think Daniel Levy would have shelled out what we have paid out for some of the signings we have made?     Easy target??  Are you serious?  What about Shakey?  He has been fitted up good and proper by this Drinky/Silva shambles and that rests with Rudkin.

I'm not disagreeing with you - just playing devils advocate. Drinky hasn't been fit yet this season so if he had stayed it may have made no differences. Silva isn't kante.  As far as fees are concerned, he is given an overall budget for a player (fee and package) and told to get him in. whether he personally carries out the negotiations i wouldn't be too sure but that's his cog in the wheel where he should be hung out to dry.

Personally, if he had a profile that a PL DOF should have in the football world then perhaps the silva debacle would never have come to light.   Look at Arsenal after Dein ..........  'shambles'.  This is where we are tinpot!

It isn't really about whether or not he's a decent approachable bloke though is it.  He was appointed DOF to be in charge of all football matters. Can anyone hand on heart say that all things football have been especially rosy in the last 12 months?

As to being the owner's mouthpiece he's an especially silent mouthpiece. I would like to see the local press interview him and press him on where we are going as a club what is the medium and long term goals, youth team development. Our fall from the dizzy heights of May 2016 is far far greater than it should have been. as the DOF he must, I'm afraid, take some of the responsibility and I for one would like to hear his side of things. The fans deserve some clarity on some issues.

Or the owners sell up and he'll be off to Leuven or Paul Nichols yard ?

Scabdalous this is and just shows shows we shouldn't sniff our owners arris all the while.

Wahahahahaa how is there still fans naive enough to cut this slimeball any slack? We don't know what he does because he's a mole who hides underground being inept. Look at what he hasn't done and the embarrassment in this club in the last year and how his position never seems under threat and ask yourself what's going on? Don't comfort yourself that all is well, it isn't.
