Would have been nice, Chelsea are rubbish their defence is SOOOO bad.. Think i said in the other thread i'm actually hopeful for Sunday.

I think we have a good chance of beating them if we attack them from the start. Vardy to give them the runaround.

So long for Chelsea going to ET (lol). Praying for Barca not hammering them so they won't come to us with a point to prove.

Yeah that went straight down the shitter quickly didn't it ? Oh well should be a good game Sunday

Hughes could keep Stoke up after all.

I hope he does well there.

That being said what a managerial merry go round it is with the likes of Pardew, Hughes, fat Sam, Lambert, Moyes etc there’s little imagination shown in these appointments

The classic honeymoon period will keep them up then he'll be sacked midway through next season.

Can I just add this:

Who were the last English club to win the home leg of a Champions League knockout tie?

Yes. that's right. 'Little' Leicester City.

Five Prem clubs in this round of 16. No home wins (D2 L3). Not the league it's cracked up to be.

Wednesday 23rd August 2017 - Liverpool 4 Hoffenheim 2.  Sorry.

But you were the last to win a home leg of a post-group stage knockout.

That was a game to qualify for the CL, so doesn't count.

Its crazy really when you think about it. Interested to see how MH does actually. Not that i rate him as a manager, but i do think he will keep them up. (just)

I think Southampton will stay up as they have a number of good players. New manager bounce is probably enough, though they do have a very tough run in with many away games.

Be great if they can win at West Ham,  puts the Spammers right in the sh1t!..

Luvvllyy jubbbllly!

CL qualifiers ≠ CL knockout stages, even if they are also knockout by nature.

Away                                     Home

Swansea                               Chelsea

West Ham                             Bournemouth

Arsenal                                 Man City

Leicester

Everton

They have some tough games

All the teams they play away from home are inconsistent and there is a potential to get some points. Chelsea are definitely beatable, and you gotta hope Man City are on the beach by the time you play them.

If I was a  Southampton fan  id be fairly confident we could get enough points to stay up from those fixtures.

Mark Hughes is a rubbish manager. Couldn't improve QPR or Stoke. He'll take Southampton down.

Not sure how you come to that conclusion. This season aside, don't think any of his sides have ever been in any danger of going down.
