Sounds like he has done a very commendable job. Any news on getting the team back playing in the town?

It's an absolute minefield mate lol

If they play in the town it'll be back the Leicester Road ground, only issue with that is the assets are split apart.

Some on the function rooms/bar is owned by AFC-affiliated individuals, the pitch and changing room are owned by the B4668 pretenders, and until they get bored of running a club wit a gate of around 10 per match solely out of spite, there's a chance of going back.

Honestly until then, AFC won't be back in town.

Yeah sounds all over the place, is there anywhere I can read about the end of United and the set up of Leicester Road and AFC?

The division Hinckley are in is so difficult to get out of. The previous two seasons have seen Bromsgrove Sporting who attract crowds around 600 and Coventry United, the club set up by the annoyed fans of Cov City (also capable of 300) get promoted. This season you have Walsall Wood who have had money thrown at them by the guy who owns the clothing label Luke.

Their saving grace may be that the FA are in the midst of a pyramid shake up and this may open up vacancies.

The other theory with Hinckley is that if they drop down a division where the ground wouldn't have to be so built-up, then they could attract the fans back.

In their favour, Leicester Road are having an average season and losing their better players. For anyone who doesn't know, one of the main guys there is 'Ku Akeredolu' whose record of being involved with football clubs and businesses generally is awful. They had issues with the electric supply in recent months.

Anyone from Ket'rin' know whereabouts they might be headed to?

We appreciate that our fans want to know more about our ground situation and as promised are keen to keep you updated.  As you can imagine though, there are some things that we can share and some things that need to be finalised before we make an announcement.

What we can confirm is that representatives from the club met with members from Kettering Borough Council last week.  The meeting was focused on one simple topic – the mid to long term home of Kettering Town FC.  It is clear that with Rockingham Road being removed from the equation and the general desire for the club to return to a location within the Kettering boundaries we had one avenue to pursue.  We can therefore confirm that the club have made a formal request to the council for commercial details to be confirmed for what we believe to be a viable site.

As discussions are still at a delicate stage we have been requested not to declare the location but we are confident that it will ‘tick the boxes’ for the majority of our followers.  If we can make this happen the club will move to a purpose built stadium, with on-site parking and suitable clubhouse facilities.  This would not however see the end of our relationship with Latimer Park, which would continue to be used as a training base, match day facility for our academy as well as a community venue.

Please bear with us whilst we progress discussions and watch this space for further updates.

Was reading the match report from Kings Lynn's Saturday game and came across:

Lynn got into their stride and on nine minutes Parker saw his shot fumbled by 'keeper Chris Weale and go for a corner which came to nothing.

Keep on fumblin' the free world.

Just a quick post to advertise Coalville Town v Lancaster City at the weekend.

As Leicester play friday night it would be great to see some foxes fans come and support us.

For the league we are in (one level below the conference north) we get the lowest average attendance (110-160).

Ourselves alongside Barwell are the highest non-league Leicestershire sides and compared to the Altrinchams & Stourbridges who get 500 plus every game its hard for us to compete financially and continue to grow.

Even if we got an extra 10 people through the game when Leicester dont play it makes a huge difference to a non league club like us.

Apologies for the beg-like post but we are doing everything we can to try and increase attendances so we can stay stay at this level and continue to compete against some huge non league teams.

Struggling at the moment. Sacked by end of September is my prediction.

Harrison finally sacked by Hartlepool.

Really want them to stay up.

The soap opera at Billericay continues to entertain.

Apparently Tamplin's under investigation by the Met Police for threats made against a player.

After losing last night to Folkestone Invicta (who are 4th), he's threaten to quit as manager if they lose on Saturday to Wealdstone.

He keeps banging on about crowds - which suggests to be if they don't get crowds of 1.5k plus - he can't sustain the loss being made.

Look out for Jordan Thewlis of Harrogate town, I have a feeling we may seem him make a move to the football league this season. Quality player with bags of pace but had struggled with injuries and as a result confidence, had a great preseason with some good goals.

This was my last unread post in here, thought i'd check out what football league club he's at now

.................

Aye I was wrong. Part of a very good Harrogate side, believe he's not been starting as much recently  still on 10 goals and 6 assists for the season which is decent enough.

Tamplin quit after losing 5-2.

Hartlepool only out of the relegation zone on goal difference...they play Barrow today in a vital 6 pointer and Solihull Moors in a few weeks time at home.

They need to start putting some wins on the board or they'll be facing up to regional football next season. Their run in, however is favourable.

Just hope they find someone who's willing chip in for their future.

It seems quiet on the Jeff Stelling situation regarding a possible takeover.
