Last promotion place to the 2. Bundesliga will be decided in a match between Karlsruher SC (3. Liga) and one of the following:

Sandhausen

Heidenheim

Dresden

Darmstadt

Aue

Braunschweig

All these teams need a win to secure safety in the league, one of them will be relegated directly (alongside Kaiserslautern).

Great news from Italy: Parma are on the brink of a return to Serie A!

parma-calcio-team-line-up-before-the-ser

Declared bankrupt in 2015 and forced to start anew in Serie D, the Crociati are that close to an immediate return to the top division.

With one game to play this season, they are on 69 points and in 3rd place.

All they have to do is win the last game of the season next weekend at La Spezia, whilst second-placed Frosinone are only allowed one point at home against Foggia.

Other teams in the Serie B playoff places: Palermo, Venezia, Bari, Cittadella and Perugia.

I will be attending a Hamburg Derby next year !!!

FC Pauli v the Dark side

All the best in getting a ticket for that. Saw that you met a Pauli fan the other week.

Hamburg trips are always popular with the Leicester who go with Bochum.

Wish we did more of that here , the green brigade of Celtic seem to have adopted this ultra march but we have been a bit snobby in England about it , maybe it’s a sign Football is gentrified and too commercial  here now

whats Bochums politics are the ultras seen as left or right side ?

Ultras Bochum/Melting Pott are both left wing groups. The Rhur area is comparable to South Yorkshire with its mining history, It's very working class with left wing ploitics.

They even have it in the states.

I don't think English people like to be seen as 'copying' other countries.

Moreover over the past 30 years fans in England have become very much individualistic when it comes to match days, the idea of getting together with 100's or 1000's of fans before a game and going to the game on mass isn't just alien to us but isn't wanted.

Palace, Huddersfield, Lincoln and us are the only clubs I can think of who have done a corteo in this country.

Braunschweig relegated from the 2. Bundesliga after losing 6-2 at Holstein Kiel - the latter now face Wolfsburg in the quest for reaching/staying in the 1. Bundesliga.

Aue will try to avoid relegation in the two playout matches against Karlsruhe.

Hopefully Karlsruhe come up, too many small teams in the 2. Bundesliga now

Holstein Kiel might not be allowed to play their home games at their own stadium if they get promoted as German FA don't deem it adequate enough.

There's an objection by the club pending with the DFB office.

The football association only allows 1. Bundesliga matches in stadiums with a capacity of 15'000 or more - Holstein's ground holds 12'000, but they're working on a new addition to the East Stand.

If they can't reach an agreement, the closest stadium suited to the current DFB standards would be 60 miles down the road, in... Hamburg. lol

VfB Lübeck's ground, which would be closer, holds roughly 18'000, but has only 5'000 seats, as opposed to 8'000 demanded by the football association.

There is also a petition which has been signed by 20,000 to let them play in their own ground.

So 8,000 people who signed the petition will not be able to watch them play. Strange.
