lgfualol Posted 13 July 2017 Share Posted 13 July 2017 Derby love our players/ex-players. Proper living in our shadow. 4m is nothing these days. Might as well keep him, probably better than King.

Guest CityFan 06 Posted 13 July 2017 Share Posted 13 July 2017 I can see why they want a good replacement for Hughes, and James would be just the job. However, I'd of thought he's in Shakespeare's plans.
FrankieADZ Posted 13 July 2017 Share Posted 13 July 2017 get stuff with them, they got 11mil for Ince, James is worth that at least, the cheek of them, didnt they pay 6mil for Bradley Johnson as well

I think you might be surprised next season. If he's fit he'll be ahead of King and could easily give Drinkwater a run for his money. Barnes has done nothing whatsoever to suggest he's even close to our starting 11 yet. He played ok in league one. James has performed in the championship last season alone and got rave reviews. You can play him deep wiith a holding midfielder next to him, but he gets forward regularly and plays as a 10 also.
