I've attached a little review of Mendy and Kapustka's last few games, make of it what you will but what stands out for me with mendy is their record without him in the last 4 Games (4 wins) compared with the 4 before when he played. Also despite scoring a goal Kapustka is finding it hard to get game time recently, opinions?.

A bit of a roundup of the past two months:

Kapustka was substituted at half-time in the DFB Pokal game away at Bremen, which Freiburg lost 3-2. Meanwhile in the Bundesliga, he continues to get the odd feature here and there, as he played 75 minutes in a 1-0 loss against Schalke; then played for 37 minutes, scoring Freiburg's only goal in a 3-1 away defeat in Wolfsburg (see above) and was once again taken off at half-time in a 2-1 home win against Mainz. His last appearance so far was a one-minute stint in Freiburg's 3-3 draw at Augsburg.

Freiburg also played a friendly during their training camp session in Spain earlier this week. Kapustka played 85 minutes in a 1-1 draw with HSV.

In a recent interview with Dziennik Polski, he says that he hopes to feature more often from now on, still with an eye on a place in Poland's WC squad this summer. Streich appears to rotate often, so players can never be sure to be a part of Freiburg's starting XI.

Elliott Moore (OH Leuven): Leuven are struggling for goals a bit since November, with two wins and three draws from their last eight matches, only scoring two goals twice and those were the two wins - Moore continues to be a regular in the league, going over the full distance all the time

Callum Elder (Wigan Athletic): Played in Wigan's 3-2 FA Cup 3rd round replay vs. Fylde, dishing out one assist in 90 minutes. Did not feature in the 4th round draw away at Bournemouth, and seems to have lost his starting XI spot to Reece James now; Elder only played twice since late November, otherwise an unused substitute for most part, which has him a bit disappointed as you can guess (https://www.wigantoday.net/sport/football/latics/latics-guest-player-column-callum-elder-1-8912323)

Harvey Barnes (at Barnsley until recently): In late October and November, he scored three more goals and gave two more assists in the Championship, but Barnsley have been caught in a terrible rut ever since, losing six out of the following nine matches (no wins) - interesting to see whether Barnes will be given a chance at another Championship club higher up the table this year. Anonymous display for us in the FA Cup away at Fleetwood.

Nampalys Mendy (OGC Nice): Since the start of November, he has been a starter in the first three matches (home win against Dijon, draw away at Caen, then got thumped 5-0 by Lyon at home). Had to warm the bench for the following four matches (which Nice all won), then got another 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw at Lille. Nampalys is ruled out for tonight's game against Amiens due to a pulled muscle.

Little Cabbage substituted after 45 minutes once more. Just find it odd. Very unusual in football nowadays. Either Streich doesn't rate him or Kapustka isn't good enough for regular Bundesliga football.

Freiburg fans on the official Facebook page claim that Kapustka was "anonymous again". Well...

Other than Barnes and maybe Moore, none of the others will make it here. I reckon we'll sell Mandy if we can find a buyer in the summer and my step dad is a Wigan season ticket holder and says Elder is rubbish. And Kapustka definitely won't make it here. Puel has a job in clearing the dead wood out of the squad!

This is interesting. Are we saying first team or youth team? Real Betis are 7th and if he can play there he must be talented.

When you look at Betis' current record this season, the last they need is another attacker.

Unless Uche can play at right-back.

Kapustka neither in the starting XI nor on the bench for Freiburg today (in a 2-1 home win against Leipzig).

Callum Elder an unused substitute for Wigan in a 3-1 away win at Plymouth.

Elliott Moore and OH Leuven play away at Tubize tomorrow (4pm CEST/3pm GMT), an hour after OGC Nice (with Nampalys Mendy) take on St. Etienne at home.

Elliott Moore helped OH Leuven to another clean sheet in a 1-0 away win at Tubize.

After an appearance in the FA Cup, Callum Elder continues to warm the bench for Wigan in League One. No way past Reece James at the moment.

Bartosz Kapustka wasn't in the squad for Freiburg vs. Leipzig.

As an unused substitute, Nampalys Mendy saw his team beat St. Etienne 1-0, Nice's sixth win in eight matches (all unbeaten). Mendy has played only once in that period.

Raul Uche did not feature for Betis' second team in the Segunda Division - he could make his debut this weekend, however. Betis host Recreativo Huelva on Sunday.

Elliott Moore had his 22nd straight league game for OH Leuven today - sadly, they lost 1-0 at home to lowly Westerlo thanks to an own goal in the first half. Promotion to the Jupiler League has just gotten a tad bit more difficult...

Callum Elder managed to get to 85 minutes for Wigan in today's 2-0 FA Cup win against West Ham, before being substituted by Reece James (Matty James' brother). Did a very solid job, had hardly any defending to do - mostly thanks to West Ham being down to ten men towards the end of the first half. Earned himself a bruise on his head, forcing him to wear some bandage in the second half.

Surprise: Bartosz Kapustka was once more not in the Freiburg squad and missed the 2-2 home draw vs. Dortmund.

Last but not least, Nampalys Mendy and OGC don't seem to go well together. Substituted in the 75th minute against Metz today - by that time, Nice were already down to ten men after a red card against Lees-Melou. Lost 2-1 against the bottom-of-the-table club in the end.

In the video in this link Mendy can be seen reciting a bit of Hamlet.

Good to see he's keeping fit both physically and mentally :scarf:

Elliott Moore - OH Leuven's captain for the first time in a 2-2 draw against leaders Cercle Brugge, leaving them still five points behind in 3rd place

Callum Elder - on the bench for Wigan in the 2-0 home win against Gillingham - the Latics remain in first spot in League One, two points ahead of Shrewsbury, with one game in hand

Bartosz Kapustka: Not in the squad for Freiburg's goalless draw against Leverkusen, apparently out with an illness

Nampalys Mendy continues to bring OGC Nice bad luck: Substituted in the 1-0 home defeat against Toulouse - the fans aren't overly happy with his performances

Islam Slimani - out injured still

Ahmed Musa - the Russian Premier League doesn't resume up until the start of March, but he might feature in the Europa League matches against Red Star Belgrade this month

Andy King - not allowed to play against his parent club yesterday

Leonardo Ulloa - 2 substitute appearances for Brighton so far (vs Southampton (1-1) & West Ham (3-1))

Raul Uche - played 25 minutes in Real Betis B's 2-2 draw with Huelva in late January, scored the equalizer in the 2-2 away draw at CD El Ejido this weekend
