LCFC Internationals 2017/18

Recommended Posts

Lawrence was excellent, very good goal and worked hard offering a threat. Stupid getting rid of a promising youngster. King well too in a hard working midfield - Coleman gets the best out of him - where Allen excelled. Pity we didn't go for Allen.

Dragovic just picked up a yellow card for dissent (unnecessary) which means he misses the game in Moldova next week - he could do with the game time to get match fit!

He played a steady game marking that twat from Newcastle. Just hope we take up the option to purchase as will be a able  replacement for Dad’s Army.

Great goal by DERBY'S Tom Lawrence....

Of course he wasn't good enough for us was he!?

Georgia, Slovenia, Scotland... What is the point of these games. International football seems to be regressing to shit.

Bournemouth v Leicester - What is the point of these games .....................

if there is a competition then the games have to be played, however irrelevant they may seem to you

You missed the point. King playing well against a team full of 2nd division b league teams is not much of a big deal.

As regards the world cup - it needs reorganizing into divisional qualification - like in the English leagues or Europa league. The real dross teams need to fight amongst themselves so that they can at least get a decent game then the winners can progress to battling the mid level nations and the top nations can join at a later stage. You can enjoy the France v Andorra derby as much as you want but it's not worthy of precious world cup minutes.

Rugby has a much better handle on it and the competition is better for it.

If Ronaldo was Andorran, I suspect he would want the status quo to continue to or he wouldnt get the chance to  play for his country against any of the best sides. Arguments in both directions

if if I had to choose I would come down on your side

I've said for a while all it needs is a pre qualifying tournament. Top 30 sides automatically qualify for the last stage of European qualifying. The other 24 are split into 6 groups of 4. With the winner of each group advancing to the final stage of qualifying.

Then the 36 teams are soliton into 6 groups of 6 with the top 2 in each group automatically qualifying to the World Cup.

Tge teams finishing in 3rd join the the third place teams in Asia, 5th in South America, Oceania and 4th in central and Northern America and are drawn into one off playoffs no seeding. Winner goes to the World Cup.

Nah leave it as is. Faroes as bottom seeds for Euro qualifying did the double over Greece who were top seeded.  Macedonia drew with Italy away last night and Luxembourg drew with France away a few months ago.

The gap between the bottom band of Europe and the top band isnt probably closer than any other federation bar South America.

Why all the spaffing over Lawrence, that was his first goal in his last 16 or so games for club and country.

because city supporters like to moan and make up a load of BS.

Lawrence wouldn't have got in our side even now.
