Monk Posted 26 August 2017 Share Posted 26 August 2017 Positionally we have been truly excellent apart from 2-3 phases of play. Nice and compact and for the most part we have soaked up the pressure and forced a lot of long range efforts. Frustrating that James in particular is giving the ball away so much and we can't find any space on the ball. That may come in the second half as they press more forward. Dead pleased so far. Too powderpuff in tackles, playing about 5 metres too deep, and too scared to retain the ball. Need some talking to and tactical changes after the break. We kept things reasonably tight and created a few half chances, with a few iffy moments to be expected. Coming in at 0-0 was probably the best we could've hoped for against an expansive United side. It'll be interesting to see how long we can keep the game like this. United will keep flooding players forward and the opportunity for Vardy/Kelechi will be there on the break.
