What’s happened to the tigers? They’ve been pretty crap for a long time now, really should be competing considering they have probably the biggest fan base and a fantastic history which you’d think would draw in the best players. Are the tight on wages or something?

The Tigers financial model is about being intelligently self sufficient, cultivating their own youth players, not spending what they don't have.

On top of that, they've also had the same problem Arsenal did after moving in to the Emirates. Wenger never spent a penny for years after they moved and the board always made out he had it to spend he just wasn't. It's rubbish, he was just towing the party line.

The truth was they were skint because of the new stadium. The Tigers have made a huge long term step in expanding their stadium but the short term cost has obviously been a hit to their short term finances.

Meanwhile, Saracens and Wasps are absolutely taking the mick out of the salary cap, the Irish have always been strong with their international selection policy and strong supporter bases and the French have ludicrous tv money a bit like the English premier in football.

All of that said, some of Tigers coaching decisions over the last decade have been poor. What O'connor is doing there is beyond anyone really. Exeter are proof you can do it on a budget, Glasgow and Scarlets are other good examples of what you can do with a good coaching staff and a solid philosophy.

Tigers should be attracting the best coaches in the world but they've largely had absolute rubbish for as long as I can remember and have hugely under achieved as a result.

(I'm not a tigers fan BTW.)

I am not a Tigers fan, but believe there are a number of changes that have taken place in the UK.

Julian Salvi? was excellent, yet moved to Exeter, which must have been money driven.

Looks like in the old days we would attract the very best, but as the game has changed, other clubs are also attractive, so we are no longer the Man Utd of the rugby world.

A few assumptions, a few facts, but would love to know the true facts.

Had the pleasure of meeting Matt OConnor, he is one of the nicest people I have ever met, an absolute diamond and I am desperate for him to get this right.

Another spineless performance, sadly the board still want to be in the "good old days" you cannot expect the players not to look for financial security when it is such a brutal game. You get what you pay for and they need to have a good hard look at themselves 3 coaches in 2017 and they are going backwards MOC on borrowed time.

Last home game at Welford Road tonight. A win would put them in a playoff spot against playoff rivals Newcastle. Also need to win against Sale next week to guarantee it however, it all goes down to it tonight!

Does winning both games guarantee it?

Absolutely filthy decision and one with the use of a TMO is an absolute shocker. the Rugby hierarchy will also fail by doing Fvck all about it and by doing that holds the game back using replays and getting the wrong decision with commentators being able to give the correct decision seeing the same pictures does the game no good at all.
