And a lot is down to single parent families where (usually) the father has left, doesn't contribute and the mother can be left to bring up the kids on benefits or minimum wage jobs

With no fans and VAR it's particularly dull. I'm treating this period of football almost like a bit of a downtime.

The lack of atmosphere will always be a bit offputting, but I love being able to hear everyone.

It's probably just me, and it's not scientific, but I can't help but feel that the lack of fans has probably relieved some of the negative pressure on players and officials.

Definitely relieved pressure on the officials. There's no way a referee would be able to look at pitchside monitor for five minute without coming under serious pressure from the crowd.

The East - West split in Britain is bigger than the North - South divide.

East - Anglo-Saxon, reserved, individualistic, more capitalistic, historical links to mainland Europe.

West - Celtic, emotional, more communitarian, lean towards socialism more, historical links to Ireland.

West were also linked more to the Mediterranean and Atlantic seaports

You might find this interesting. It explains that in their opinion, the Anglo Saxons melded into the Eastern part of England rather than invaded.

I don’t want us to win the FA cup this season.

I don't think we can pick and choose when we win trophies, especially if we have designs on joining this mystical big six people go on about. Get the trophies under our belt, keep the profile, make to players want to stay and come here as we're a club that wins stuff and we'll keep moving forward.

Most vegetarians and vegans aren't 'in your face' about it. In fact, the shite they have to endure from certain people is far worse.

I agree. It's weird how sensitive some people get about what other people choose to eat.

The fanbase handles players moving on so badly.

The fanbase handles it fine when it's a player that is considered surplus to requirements, but if a player wants to leave for what is widely considered a 'bigger' club or that they simply fancy a change then we handle it terribly. I don't understand the stick that Maguire gets at all. He didn't go and strike or kick up a fuss anything, and the situation benefitted pretty much everyone involved.

Booing Chris Wood says differently.

Yeah the Maguire one is odd. It's been whipped up by the chant.

That is weird, I forgot about that. I can't remember any similar instances to that though.

Maguire’s brother acting like a cvnt on twitter has riled a fair few of our fans.
