It isn’t perfect can never be when a different human has to determine whether it was or wasn’t every game. But they get a hell of a lot more right with it that is for sure.

Depends on your perspective.

There will be times when they review a correct decision and change it to an incorrect one.

There will be games when they review one incident and then refuse to review a very similar one for the other team in the same match, which i’d argue is more unfair than reviewing neither.

VAR needs limited to manager challenges. This game has been a joke, Pawson isn't reffing it, the video is, he's taking no responsibility for the game. Just let the game play naturally and let the managers have three challenges a game.

The decisions have been correct, even the own goal call, but yes it is silly seeing it used too often. I think it will get faster the more use to it they get though

what if there's more than 3 incidents (that are worth challenging) in the game?

Do you keep your allowance if you ask to check it and it's proved correct? Like in cricket where you keep the review if ultimately the right decision is made?

Yeah, same as tennis too. Make a review that doesn't go you you lose one, get it right you keep it.

If if you think of all the woeful decisions which have changed games, video review is, in principle, a good thing.

It’s just the implementation that is the problem.

The players and fans calling for it, crowds baying for it, refs hiding behind it.

I think the manager challenge, with 3 x challenges lost if wrong, is the way forward.

All been correct though mate.

They have, but why did he really need to consult it for the 1st and 3rd. Lino should see the offside and I’m not sure why he checked the 3rd. He’s bottling the decisions and it’s actually pretty pointless having an actual person on the pitch reffing it as a result.

And that’s without even mentioning the fact fans are celebrating goals 3 minutes after they go in. It needs to improve.
