here is BT's line, I'd still argue its offside but only just.

Edit: Do the defenders arm play opposition onside? If so then its onside.

original decision should have stood instead of displaying those wonky lines. Embarrassment!

Huddersfield would have been very unlucky to go in at 0-2 down. That's not to say that the goal really should have stood - that was an "umpire's call" if ever there was one.

There is no ****ing way a decision like that should be given offside.

 

A knee offside? Football laws have become absolutely ridiculous.

to be fair, even before VAR it's always  been the rule where you can be offside if any part of the body that can legally score a goal is in an offside position.

I feel it should only be used when an obvious error has been made. Reviewing an offside that may be  half an inch out is not its purpose

how do you know it's an obvious error (or not) without reviewing the footage though?

Because someones knee being offside is not an obvious error.

 

Its frankly ridiculous to be offside if your knee is offside.

Heartbreaking watching the story of the Rochdale player and his battle with cancer, but great to see him recovered and hopefully playing today. Sad that this is so common too, and that not everyone gets through it
